Rosemary made our best meal during our weekend-stay on Santorini. Every single dish was delicious! Here's what we ordered.
My eight-year-old daughter loved the salmon with carrot puree. The actual salmon was perfect cooked with crispy skin underneath. She also loved the chocolate pie with a scoop of chocolate ice cream.
My mother-in-law really enjoyed the lambchops.
Since they were out of mussels, my wife got the tagliolini pasta and really enjoyed it.
Drinks: The adults got their house wine- white, red, and rose. The pours are generous and the taste crisp.
Space: It's stunning inside and out. We sat on the rooftop deck with stunning views of the sea. Go at sunset to see a painting of the sky.
Service: It was very friendly, but very slow- the slowest service we had on Santorini. We didn't mind it since we weren't in a rush, but it took a long time to get our food and the attention of our server.

Read moreA little conflicted.. the view really is amazing as everyone says. We emailed in advance to request a specific table and we got one that was close enough. The food was also very good, we had Greek salad, and four cheese croquettes as starters and then we both had the rib-eye steak which all was lovely. The only thing I can say was the service left us wanting more.. the lady serving us was a little unbothered throughout our whole stay and when asked about the wine list, made a snarky comment which led to me then ordering the worst tasting cocktail I’ve ever had… it would have been simpler to answer my question. Just to clarify I asked her for an opinion on the wine and she replied with something along the lines of “do you even know where you are? You are in Santorini, the land of dry wine…?” Could have saved us both a lot of hassle if she just answered my question. While we were there, a few other people seemed to be having similar issues, problems with their meals, issues with desserts and so on, the atmosphere was quite stiff...
Read moreToday my I had one of the worst restaurant experiences of my life at the Rosemary in Pyrgos. I order the Hounkiar Begendi which supposedly has small pieces of slow cooked veal, but the meat was absolute trash and junk. The “veal” pieces were all burnt rubbery fatty greasy pieces impossible to eat. I asked the waiter if he thinks anybody can eat this meat, and he said I can see that the meat is not good quality but I can’t do anything about it because my manager is not here. They charged me full prices for this terrible food and horrible experience and they said they are sorry but the manager is not here and they can’t do anything about it. I highly recommend anyone with self respect who cares about their health to stay away from this place. The only reason I don’t give them 1 star is that the presentation of their food was decent and their outdoor space...
