Had a truly unfortunate experience here. The management was so terrible and so was the service. We had to wait 35 minutes just to get bread on be table, despite asking again and again because we were so hungry. We also had a serious allergy contamination despite being told the dish didn’t have the allergen.
On a Saturday night, they had just one server and one bus boy helping with drinks but no one else. They were struggling sooo much but continued to accept more and more customers. Everyone dining at the restaurant looked frustrated by the delays. This is very poor management and seems so greedy.
The water in Parga shut off for an evening. This being a mostly pasta place, I was shocked to see it was still open. We thought maybe they had water because of their high up location. They did not. They didn’t communicate that to us until after 30 MINUTES of waiting for bread and bottled water (we asked repeatedly) that their kitchen had delays.
We tried to leave because they obviously didn’t have capacity to serve people dinner that evening (which is understandable.) But they told us we could not leave because they were already preparing our drinks and food. This was not entirely true. We got drinks 10 minutes later. We waited another 45 minutes for our mains. Overall it took 2.5 hours for us to get 2 drinks, 1 appetizer and 2 mains on the table.
Overall- I understand the strain they were under. But honestly they should have told people immediately about the delays, offered bread as quickly as possible, and reduced their available menu. They also need to take allergies seriously. The waitress originally refused to ask the chef if a dish had the allergen. She asked again and then said it was fine- it wasn’t.
The view is nice, the ambiance is lovely and the menu looks great with plenty of variety! But dishes were so underwhelming and bad service/management ruined...
Read moreThe best restaurant in Parga, hands down! We had an incredible dining experience…from the delicious food and friendly service to the breathtaking view right in front of our table. I ordered the shrimp pasta, and as someone who’s very picky about shrimp pasta, I can confidently say this one is at the top of my list!
My boyfriend had the carbonara and described it as absolutely mouthwatering. Although we didn’t try the meat dishes ourselves, we saw several being served at nearby tables and they looked amazing!
The wine selection was also great. I paired my pasta with a glass of Moscato d’Asti, and it complemented the dish perfectly.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the owner truly makes everyone feel like a friend, people were constantly stopping by to greet him.
It’s best to reserve a table, especially between 7–10 PM when it usually gets busy. That said, walk-ins are definitely possible! I actually found a table really quickly. It mostly depends on your timing, sometimes there are only a few tables taken, and within minutes the whole place can fill up. So even without a reservation, it’s worth trying your luck!
We’re already planning to return tomorrow to try the meat dishes. Highly...
Read moreWould NOT recommend. The ambiance is beautiful at sunset, The bussers were kind and respectful. The food was hit or miss. The seafood linguine was delicious, the parpadelle was very bland and needed lots of Parmesan to give it flavor. Our servers and manager were rude and distasteful. Talking bad about us from the moment we walked in since we were still finishing our water bottle before ordering a new one. They repeatedly talked about us, thinking we couldn’t understand and looked down our on choices of drinks and appetizers. We were so displeased with the service we almost left but the kind blonde busser woman really made our experience worth while despite the manager and servers sour facial expressions...
