Not worth it at all. First we were greeted with an assumption that we can't afford food there and the talk about minimal 35€ pp even tho we said that we are here for dinner. Waiters whistle at each other in front of the guests and show middle fingers. Waitress that is sitting on the service table or back rest of chairs. Waitresses in very short bright skirt. For such a "high class" restaurant there should be proper uniforms. Next a blond older waitress that served us arguing with us about everything that we ordered. Trying to school me about porn star martini being served with prosecco and that their drink doesn't have prosecco in it. As a bartender for the past 10 years i just assumed it was a porn star martini because porn star is always and only served with prosecco but nevermind. Then i ordered crab risotto but on accident i said shrimp but i was right to say that. On the menu it says crab but is served with one prawn and the rest is shrimp. When i asked her about it the said that it was their recipe and continued to point at my food telling me that the prawn was actually crab. So we paid for shrimp almost 30€ even tho the is no shrimp mentioned on the menu. (Not to say that shrimp were frozen) My partner got her drink in about 2 minutes after ordering it and i waited for mine for at least 10 minutes... Portions were wayyyy to small for the price tag that comes with it. When we were seated the offered a bottle of stil water, we asked for sparkling. They brought the most expensive bottle of water they have even tho it was not asked for, opened it and everything. Such a scam. Every interaction with the older waitress was an argument. Their approach to guests is like they want to fight with them. Bread was stail and cold. At least that should be fresh and warm if you serve it with cold butter. The staff, especially the older waitress, should go through extensive proper training for the price tag to match the experience. And a menu change. Zorbas is premium compared to this. The only good thing about this place is the view, nothing else. If i could i would...
Read moreAt first glance KASTRO looks like the perfect place to have a romantic dinner. A view from the top of the hill with high-class looking tables definitely catches one's eye and interest. Hovever, nothing turned out to be as good ad it seemd.
The waiters bring you a good-looking appetizer and a bottle of water which are presented as if they are a compliment on the house, however, later on they charge you for it.
The food is at best mediocre and the Greek salad nad not taste at all. Rarely have I tried such poor quality vegetables. On top of that, the waiters try to persuade you that the portions are too small for one person and make you order as much food as you can before seeing the true picture.
The drinks are outrageously small, containing at least 80% ice and just a little bit of alcohol. The martini that I ordered had more olives than the greek salad had.
Furthermore, with the waiters coming in every tow or five minutes (unfortunately, I am not exaggerating) to ask you if they can take your plates, even if the dishes are more than half full, you cannot even peacefully enjoy the only advantage that the place has - the view.
As a whole, the looks of the place do not justify the so unpleasant experience and the time lost in the otherwise beautiful town of Parga.
What I can recommend is going to the castle of Parga which is just next to the restaurant and enjoying the view from there. The casle is absolutely free to enter and if you'd like, there is a place inside where you can get drinks and have a breathtaking view to the town...
Read moreVery disappointing experience. With our entering at the restaurant we quickly figured out that we are not so much welcome. The restaurant was still empty and we were one of the first visitors for the evening. They have asked us if we have a reservation and we didn't. So they have changed 3 times where they want to put us. The waitress went crazy and she didn't know what to do. At the end they put us on some back table.
The food was not good and for such "elite" restaurant is not acceptable. They served us burata cheese which was sour and not suitable for eating. We also ordered a Greek salad which must be one of the most popular salads out there and yet it can go wrong. They used some old cucumbers and some of them were even yellowish and with bad taste. One of our main dishes was pasta. They served us spaghetti with tomato sauce. Anyone who cook pasta will know that you cannot prepare spaghetti with liquid sauce.. As for the service, everything was rushed. Waiters were not polite. They were taking out everything from the table quickly and started asking immediately for the bill. On the way out the lady which was supposed to welcome and send off the guest was so haughtily looking at us, that made me happy to leave as soon as possible and not wanting to come back.
The only good thing in this restaurant is the place it is and the...
