Tucked away in the west end of seaside Parga, Shanghai Asian Restaurant is a gem that’s absolutely worth a visit. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming — a perfect setting for a slow, flavourful evening. Shanghai Asian Restaurant offers a delightful mix of excellent food, warm service, and a laid-back vibe.

We started with Crab Rangoon and Teriyaki Chicken Wings — both delicious and well-prepared. The wings were especially juicy, with a lovely caramelized glaze that balanced sweetness and umami beautifully.

For mains, we enjoyed a selection that truly impressed: – The Szechuan Duck (spicy and full of bold, layered flavours) was perfectly paired with a glass of Ktima Biblia Chora 2023, a crisp white wine that cut through the heat in just the right way. – The Fried Tempura Sushi — filled with salmon, avocado, cucumber and cream cheese — was indulgent and tasty, though the portion was quite large compared to what we’re used to, so it was a bit more than we could finish! – The Peking Duck with Pancakes was classic, tender, and beautifully seasoned — a true highlight.

The service deserves a special mention. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and eager to recommend pairings or explain dishes.

A lovely Chinese restaurant with stylish decor, incredibly friendly service and high quality ingredients! I’ll absolutely return during my stay in Parga. It’s a nice break from the Italian and Greek restaurants nearby.

They mostly serve Chinese dishes but offer a sushi menu and a few Thai dishes as well. They have vegetarian and vegan options. I recommend the egg fried rice (which you can get without egg and just vegetables) and the Chinese mushrooms and bamboo- they were delicious together! The edamame was great too.

My partner ordered the chicken chow mein and it came in a beautiful, clever ceramic takeout box.

They even serve Greek-made fortune cookies at the end!

I give a 2 star for the food, we have phenomenal Chinese food in Toronto Canada. This does not come close. However I give it a one star for the misleading Menu. They advertise 26.50 Euro for dinner for two. When the bill arrived they had charged 26.50 x 2 when I asked to see the menu. I see in very small print that you literally need I microscope to see per person. I guess they don't care for repeat business because of how busy Parga is. Save your money and eat at the local Greek Restaurants and forget about this mediocre...
