Chaniotis Restaurant — Restaurant in Paros Municipality

A very nice local cafeteria kind of place. All food is presented on a counter and you can look at it and choose what you want to get. This is very down to earth place compared to many other "too toiristy" restaurants. A lot of locals seem to eat here too.

Food was delicious, service was very nice and friendly, we felt very welcome here. We had chicken with rice and ratatouille, everything was very tasty and large portions, for two meals we paid just 14€ which is an unbeatable price....

Moussaka tasted very strange. Like it had sugar or some sort of cake ingredients instead of savoury ones. The ratatouille was way overcooked and had too much salt, but was better than the moussaka. This was very disappointing since the restaurant had such high reviews. Maybe we went too late in the day but nearly everything in the steam table looked quite old and unfresh. We ate here twice recently and I agree with all the positive reviews. This place is amazing! The food was very authentic (says my Greek partner) and really affordable. It’s a cafeteria style set up, and I’d say the food is probably a bit fresher earlier in the evening.
