Sometimes it’s challenging to write a review for a restaurant because you don’t want to do it injustice. My experience at Rada was one of those times. Arriving at the restaurant from the seaside you get a Saharan like vibe with the two wooden corridors surrounded by thin golden sand. The decoration is earthy and welcoming and the whole space resonates warmth and light. We were lucky enough to have an early reservation so we also got to enjoy a beautiful sunset. We started our diner with the Fish Carpaccio, how well the raw fish bonded with acidic and flavourful kumquats, accompanied by hints of ouzo aromas, is beyond me. The tarama (fish roe) was airy and had a light mousse texture while the balance of salt and sugar with the beetroot was spot on. One of the signatures dishes of Rada, Carrots and Orange, continued our gastronomical experience with the humble carrot playing a star role in a seemingly simple yet complex and sophisticated dish. We also had the Octopus which was perfectly paired with the earthy tones of eggplant and the aroma of rosemary and honey. We had one salad, Zucchini. The english menu translation doesn’t accurately describe the dish which is in fact thin julienne stripes of zucchinis marinated in a pistachio pesto, Parian Gruyère cheese and lime, an ode to the simple vegetable. Before the main courses we also had Green Pie which is in fact a reconstructed herb-spinach pie (a very traditional Greek food) which to me was one of the highlights of the evening. The crust was so crunchy yet airy, completely melting in your mouth while the herbs accompanied with fresh anise filled your mouth with bliss…6/5 Our main courses were Tomato Rice a deconstructed take on the traditional Greek dish of “Gemista” (stuffed tomatoes) with local cherry tomatoes and feta creams with aromatic crispy mint leaves, the Orzo with its basil aromas and Lefkadian Salami earthiness and the star of the night, the Glazed Lamb… The Lamb is one of those dishes that puts a smile on your face and warms your heart, the meat being tender beyond words while having none of the lamb’s heavy aroma and the accompanying chickpeas cream and rosemary sauce orchestrating a gastronomic symphony in my mouth. 6/5 To conclude this amazing experience we had all three deserts that were up to par with the rest of the menu. Extra friendly and polite staff, well educated on the menu’s intricacies, great ambience, excellent cocktail list. Giorgos, the owner, was an amazing host. Congrats to everybody in Rada, great...
Read moreABSOLUTE STANDOUT!!! We went here for the last night of our honeymoon and what a PERFECT end to the trip - Yannis was attentive, knowledgeable (recommended a divine bottle of white), and personable, and the rest of the staff was just as lovely. They have a bucket of ice at each table so the wine and water remained chilled, and they came around often to attend to us, and offered blankets when the sun went down, since this sits right off a beach looking at sunset. Very thoughtful staff, and lovely view!
And the FOOD - complete knock out from start to finish. We had the veal tartare to start with wild fennel aioli and crispy grape leaf - INCREDIBLE! We loved the use of Greek vegetation since there are so many amazing things that grow here, and this felt very special. For our mains, I had the lamb (without dairy!) and it was next level - it’s pieces of succulent lamb brought together in an elongated shape that falls apart as soon as you dig your fork in - and since each piece is smaller, there are so many delicious caramelized and crispy bits to give a wonderful texture play, which went perfectly with the sauce and the accompanying eggplant with tomato, which all together was a fantastic bite. My husband got the crispy fish with carrot purée and loved that as well.
I also got a Lychee Spritz which was EXACTLY like biting into a fresh juicy ripe lychee. Every time I had a sip my eyes got big and I would have to say “wow” out loud, it was that incredible. The elderflower really carries the lychee flavor forward, and it’s topped with an edible flower.
10/10 drink, meal, wine, service, and experience. Only regret is that we didn’t come here sooner so that we could have done multiple meals here!!! Not cheap but everything was totally fairly priced for...
Read moreI first visited Rada Restaurant three years ago, and since then, I’ve returned many times for both lunch and dinner. Each visit leaves me thrilled — with the food, the setting, and the wonderful people. It’s beautifully located right by the beach, near Naousa.
Just yesterday, I had dinner there, only two days after enjoying lunch with my family. I’m constantly impressed by the delicate flavors they create, combining high-quality Mediterranean ingredients in a truly unique way — the kind of dishes you remember for a long time.
The glazed slow-cooked lamb, elegantly served in a rectangular shape, is one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever tasted. Although I usually avoid pasta, I simply couldn’t resist the pappardelle with sea bass — it was irresistible.
Even the simplest Greek flavors, like tarama, taste better here than anywhere else. It’s served in a generous portion, and I enjoyed it non-stop!
The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly polite, making you feel truly special. It’s a place where you can relax and take in the endless view of the golden beachfront and the...
