Deco Sami — Restaurant in Sami Municipality

In 1,5 week we went for the 3rd time to this restaurant. The service is very polite and always cheerful. The food is even better, I think they have the best cook. The fish or meat are always the way you asked. If you don't like something with the fish or meat you can take a other vegetable, puree or salad with it. At the end we got 0,5 liter wine on the house as a gift. It 2 days later and we went back to the best taverna in Sami. We went to Deco for my mother's birthday while on holiday for a week. The food was so amazing (the moussaka and the calamari especially) and the service was so friendly, we decided to go back in our last day on the island. We were welcomed with a smile, as Nikos recognised us and was as lovely as he was on the first night. The location is great as we could see the sea and the sunset, there is cover from the sun as the tables are under trees, and we enjoyed chilled wine in the evening breeze. So disappointing. My son and I had the fried calamari for appetizers and it was terrible - so chewy it was almost inedible. My son ordered the cod fillet and it was extremely salty and also chewy. I had pork souvlaki and it was mostly fat. We fed a lot of our food to the stray cats. When we were asked if everything was ok and we said we were disappointed, we were each given a piece of baklava, instead of money off our meal.
