Phàos World — Restaurant in Skiathos Municipality

Last month, my son and I travelled to Skiathos, and we had a fantastic time. After reading some reviews, I discovered Phaos World Cafe and decided to have breakfast there.

My son has special needs, which can make it challenging to find seating in coffee shops or restaurants. However, as soon as we entered the Cafe, the owners, Nick and Thespina, couldn’t have been friendlier. We were served one of the best coffees I’ve ever had, and I ordered yogurt for my son.

Initially, he said he didn’t want any, but after tasting it, he asked for another helping. Thespina even shared her secret recipe for preparing the yogurt, and ever since we returned, I’ve been enjoying it every day.

The music in the Cafe is lively and made us want to stay longer. Outside the Cafe, there is a vibrant secondary school, giving my son the chance to watch local children play sports, which he loved.

During our five days in Skiathos, we visited the Cafe every day. Each time, Nick and Thespina greeted us with warm smiles and offered recommendations on places to visit on the island.

They are such kind, lovely people who truly master their craft.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD (and trust me, I have been to many, many places in many countries). I have come here to get a coffee with my husband. I have ordered them “to go” and my husband went to a random shop nearby. The coffee was ready, I paid €6 for them, and I was waiting for my husband on the terrace. The owner came to me and told me to leave because I cannot stay on the terrace if I order take-away. I explained to him that I will stay for 5 minutes as I wait for someone, and he started yelling at me that I cannot wait there if I have my coffee to go. I told him that he should put a sign at the entrance and let clients know that. He then brought me a €1,5 bill and told me that I have to pay it if I want to stay on the terrace. I told him “no” and he threatened me that he will call the police. I patiently waited for my husband and left while the owner kept yelling that we should pay the additional bill for staying on the terrace...
