Karafelas Hotel — Hotel in Skiathos Municipality

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay considering its label of a one star!

Our room was made up of three single beds but we just put them together and it was fine. The AC was good enough there was sometimes a bit of a smell but we aren’t sure what it was.

Overall we were very happy that the rooms didn’t look how ugly they were in the other review photos. Honestly they are absolutely fine for a visit just don’t expect a luxurious hotel and standard. The rooms were a bit dirty under the beds but where it needed to be clean was clean. Maybe an extra wash on the sheets would be good though!!

The bathroom was good and came with a good hair dryer too. Towels were provided and replenished.

The main downer if there was one was the lack of receptionist which isn’t really much of a problem as we just left the keys at the desk. But they were there for check in. She wasn’t nasty like other reviews state and was kind about letting us have a late check out/leave bags so we could explore before our flight. Super local to everything and the beach too which was nice.

I would recommend for a very decent hotel that’s a bit budget but that’s central. It’s absolutely fine! I was also scared about the reviews but it’s good! If you’re from the uk it’s basically the same as a travelodge just...

I visited Hotel Karafelas for the first week of September. I had room 17 on the front of the hotel. It was clean and spacious. I was initially concerned it might be a little too noisy but not at all. The street went quiet earlier than I thought and the double glazing blocked the sound of late night scooters. ||The room did smell of smoke but I got used to that, especially as people still smoke on bars and some restaurants too.||There was crockery supplied and a good fridge but there was nowhere to make a drink. ||All of the staff were attentive and helpful. ||I would recommend this to anyone looking for a centrally located value hotel...

Απογοήτευση σε όλα τα επίπεδα – Μακριά!

Η χειρότερη εμπειρία που είχα ποτέ σε κατάλυμα. Το ξενοδοχείο ήταν βρώμικο από την πρώτη στιγμή. Οι καθαρίστριες κυριολεκτικά δεν έκαναν τίποτα, και το πιο τραγικό; Μας παρακάλεσαν να μην γράψουμε αρνητική κριτική! Δηλαδή να σιωπήσουμε για την αθλιότητα που είδαμε.

Η “υποδοχή” (αν μπορείς να τη χαρακτηρίσεις έτσι) ανύπαρκτη. Δεν υπήρχε κανείς ποτέ στο πόστο του. Ό,τι πρόβλημα είχαμε, απλά… έμεινε πρόβλημα. Τα air condition έσταζαν νερό μέσα στο δωμάτιο, αναγκαστήκαμε να βάλουμε κουβάδες για να μη γίνει πισίνα.

Οι μπαλκονόπορτες ήταν χαλασμένες, δεν έκλειναν καλά, και φυσικά οι γείτονες απέναντι – όλοι μεγάλης ηλικίας – μας κοιτούσαν συνεχώς, χωρίς ίχνος ιδιωτικότητας.

Τα σεντόνια βρώμικα, με λεκέδες. Έπρεπε να τους παρακαλάμε να μας αλλάξουν κι ακόμα κι έτσι, κοιμόμασταν πάνω σε κάτι που έμοιαζε με ψάθα. Οι πόρτες του δωματίου δεν κλείδωναν σωστά, καμία αίσθηση ασφάλειας.

Όσο για το προσωπικό; Η γιαγιά με την κόρη της στην “υποδοχή” ήταν ό,τι πιο αντιπαθητικό έχουμε συναντήσει. Μια απλή, ευγενική ερώτηση κάναμε και μας απάντησαν με ειρωνεία και αγένεια. Πραγματικά απωθητικές.

Μοναδική εξαίρεση μια γλυκύτατη καθαρίστρια – η μόνη ανθρώπινη παρουσία στο μέρος. Την λυπάμαι ειλικρινά που εργάζεται σε τέτοιο περιβάλλον και με τέτοιους ανθρώπους.
