Very rude manager!! This was the second time we went there for an 8pm dinner in a matter of a week He accused us of causing a customer behind us to leave due to the kids being loud. I have never been spoken like that in my life!! He spoke in such a condescending manner. When he took our order he basically said "get on with it already" and said he lost a foreigner because of us greeks... Our kids are not babies. 12, 9, 9 and a 5 year old little girl with 4 adults. We got them a card game to play while waiting for dinner so they weren't on their electronics. The restaurant had maybe 2 tables filled when we got there. The customer who complained made a face the moment he walked in right after us and realized that they were squeezing them at a table right behind us even though the place was still practically empty. They asked us to have the kids be quiet once and we literally had them whisper to each other and kept making sure to be respectful but the customer seemed bothered by their very existence. They got up and left within 5 min of sitting down. This was our second time there in a matter of a week with a large party of 12. Loved everything the first time and were returning again. Spend a lot of money and all the kids got full adult dishes for dinner. Never again though and we planned to bring more friends here. Food was good and the servers were very kind. The manager though was unacceptable. I am even upset that we stayed and ate but the kids were hungry and we were on vacation and not...
Read moreBasilikos This restaurant has always been a favourite ever since we’ve been coming to Skiathos. So it was great to experience yet another fantastic evening of the finest food and service on the island. The food created by chef Nikos and his team is excellent. Then there’s George who manages the restaurant with ease making sure every single guest is taken care of. We received the usual friendly welcome on tuesday night before taking our seat at the front of the restaurant. Starters - Here we had the Shrimp Saganaki and the Butter Beans with spinach and grated feta cheese. Both dishes were incredible which we accompanied with a fabulous Greek Salad. Mains - Things were now going to get even better as we had the fantastic Baby Veal and an excellent Pappardelle with chicken bites in a creamy sauce with sweet paprika. Dessert - We then received a lovely surprise as George brought us a complimentary dessert called Εκμεκ κανταΐφι a traditional greek dessert made with layers of Kataifi topped with thick custard , whipped cream and garnished with cinnamon and pistachio. It was simply heaven. This brought an end to a fantastic evening and one that I would very highly recommend. We will definitely return again before we leave Skiathos. Efharisto George , Nikos and all the team and look forward to seeing you...
Read moreI had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was marred by poor service from management and a lack of attention to basic ingredient quality. The most baffling part of our visit was a simple drink order. I requested a lemonade from the head waiter. A few minutes later, a different waiter brought a Fanta to our table. I politely refused it, explaining that I had ordered a lemonade. The waiter was very understanding and was about to take it back. However, the head waiter then came over to our table to argue the point, insisting that we should accept the Fanta because "it was already open." I was shocked since the waiter brought it opened. Pressuring a customer to accept a wrong order is unprofessional and completely unacceptable. It's a clear sign of poor management that prioritizes a few cents over customer satisfaction. Hoping the food would be better, I ordered the Greek salad. It arrived with a beautiful presentation, and for a moment, I thought the evening could be salvaged. Unfortunately, the taste did not live up to the visuals. The tomatoes, a crucial ingredient in any Greek salad, were mediocre and lacked flavor. It's a small detail, but it speaks volumes when a restaurant can't get the...
