Was on a very nice boat trip. On the back of the ticket it said "1 free glass of wine at Portobello" (we were 2 persons with 1 ticket which stated 2 persons).
Went to try out Portobello. Was told we could only get 1 glass for free by the waitress, which had to ask the manager for confirmation. That's fair enough, no hassle, so we ordered only 1 glass of red wine. It took them 5 minutes to serve, and it wasn't busy at all.
2 minutes later a man that looked friendly approached us. Introduced himself as the manager and told us that since we get one free drink, we should order one more because we were two persons. I told him no thanks, my partner didn't want anymore alcohol anyway. He then proceeded to say that we had the best seats and that we should buy a drink. Needless to say, we instantly left.

Portobello Restaurant – A Charming Spot on Pappamanditi Street
We had a lovely experience at Portobello, where the moussaka was both tasty and reasonably priced—a comforting, well-seasoned dish that felt authentically homemade. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, and we often found ourselves stopping by just for a first drink in the evening, enjoying the relaxed vibe while watching the hustle and bustle of Pappamanditi Street go by.
The staff were consistently polite and friendly, adding to the warm ambiance that makes Portobello a place you'd want to return to. Whether you're in for a full meal or just a casual drink to start your night, Portobello offers a great blend of good food, great service, and a lively setting.

Read moreThe staff did not pay attention to us. They gave us the menues, yet it took them more than 10 minutes to take our orders, and the restaurant barely had any other guests, so it was not any excuse that they were busy. I had to wait for a simple pepperoni pizza for over 40 minutes and the staff did not check up on us or explain what was taking so long until 45 minutes after. We did get our drinks 45 minutes before our food, which made us finish them a long time before the food even got here.... When I told the waiter this, he did not even offer another drink or water until I mentioned it myself.
When I got the pizza, it was also burned and too hard to eat properly. Overall, very disappointing experience, considering all the...
