A Culinary Gem in Thassos – & quite possibly my new (world)🌎 favourite place to eat.

Dining at Pallude in Golden Beach was one of the true highlights of our time in Thassos. We were fortunate to get a table on our first visit by chance, but quickly learned that booking in advance is essential — and well worth it.

The food here is simply exceptional. Every dish is a celebration of freshness and flavour — the kind of honest, homemade cooking that stirs the senses and ignites that little foodie dance. Each bite feels like a small celebration; vibrant, beautifully seasoned, and deeply satisfying. It reminded me of that iconic Herbal Essences advert — where every mouthful evokes pure joy. Yes, it really is that delicious 😆

The Pallude Salad, was quite possibly the best salad we’ve ever had — a perfect balance of textures and flavours that linger long after the last bite. Figging divine!! Every dish we tried reflected the same level of flavour and flare, made with what tasted like the freshest local ingredients — fresko kai nostimo in the truest sense.

The service is equally impressive. The team are warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They take the time to understand your preferences and guide you through the menu with thoughtful, personalised recommendations. A special thank you to Gabriel, whose friendly manner, patience and expert suggestions made both our visits feel extra memorable.

To finish, the complimentary dessert is a lovely touch — a final note of sweetness that perfectly rounds out the meal.

Pallude is more than just a place to eat; it’s an experience of Greek hospitality, flavour, and soul. We’ll be dreaming of it until we return.

From the moment we entered the Taverna we were greeted by a very kind waiter who found and prepared a table for us in less than 5 minutes. Even when we came here for dinner and had no free tables, he put us on a reservation list and had to wait 20 minutes, after which he gave us menus and took our order until the table was prepared. We made a reservation for the next day, in order to be sure we would catch a table. Usually after 19, it starts to get crowded so make sure you do the same! The tavern seems to be very popular and surely has the best food around. Every thing we tried was super fresh, well seasoned, reasonable sizes and very well cooked. In spite of people always coming and going, the service is quick. They have fresh fish displayed in a case, which you can choose from if you want, which is what I did today (sea bream) because I wanted a small sweet fish. Another dish which I adore is Grilled Cheeses (the sauce is amazing, perfectly compliments the cheeses). I loved every minute there...

Wow! The place itself looks amazing- very friendly,spacious,you can really breath (12.35 p.m.).

I asked for a fresh lemon juice🧃 and it came very fast . The greek salad was fresh made(most of the taverns have already prepared the ingredients of the salads with some hours before and they look and taste boring,but again,this one no,it was very well made!

After 10 days on the island ,i have experience😎

Well my real issue was that Moussaka. It looked amazing,but i had the impression that was not freshly made(in the oven). I think it was reheated. From time to time i could feel the temperature differences inside the food. The top got cold pretty fast and the meat felt very heavy.I could barely eat it.

The dessert seemed pretty dried,especially on the sides.

The serving was very nice,friendly✅️

Other than that,i would come back and try something else...
