Playa de oro Thassos — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

Very nice place for pizza and pasta. The prices are just right (2 adults and two kids need about €60 including dessert) and the quality is great. I am not a fan of thin pizzas, but this one is very good. Pasta was great too and the in-house made desserts (cheesecake and panna cotta) some of the better I've tried. Maybe I'd like the pizza to have more ingredients (the cheese seemed somewhat little to me), but this probably has to do with my taste, because that's how the "original" pizza is supposed to be. The personnel is very nice and helpful. I forgot to mention that the place also offers an extra dessert or fruit for free after the dinner! Great food, great service and great environment, absolutely...

Once we found this place we never had dinner anywhere else! Everything from the menu is so amazingly tasty and fresh that you wouldn't be able to decide what to have. Even the bun for the burger is made in the tavern's kitchen. Prices are very decent and the staff is just wonderful 😊 If you don't order desert, your check comes with desert on the house, usually fresh fruit or tart, and although other taverns do offer this, Playa de Oro's stuff is way better. The only downside here is that the place is quite small and because of their food and excellent service it gets filled up immediately, so make sure you have at least one reservation made here...

I have never tried better pizza anywhere and this is not an overstatement. The crust is thin and crispy, all ingredients fresh, juicy and full of flavour. We gpt to enjoy real Italian pizza napolitana here in Grece! We were surprised at how quicklu our orders came. All personel was very enthusiastic, friendly and polite. Note this, you will be missing on a lot if you are in Thasos and do not come to try this pizza. The only regret we had was we came here on our last vacation day and didn't get to enjoy this food longer. But there will be next time for...
