Havana Beach Club. Laganas Zakynthos — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

It use to be my favourite beach bar on the whole island. I would go there all summer - nice coffee, great vibe, and amazing wine. Unfortunately from this year it became ridiculous - in June they fake “booked” all the sunbeds ( waitress was putting towels on free beds the second previous customers left so that they seemed reserved) and every person who entered had to be rudely question by the staff so that they could do “face control” and either allow you to sit or tell you all is full. Very not ok, I have been coming to this bar for 5 years and first time I saw something like this. It made me feel completely unwelcome. And then from July they started charging sunbeds ( they never did that). I see their replied about law being changed, which is stupid excuse. Yes the law changed but the law did not say that all the beach bars need to charge their beds. The law simply started requiring from all the beach bars to occupy with beds only the surface that they have a licence for ( in other years all the bars occupied more that than should) and it made sure all bars are paying for the space they occupy ( they were required to to pay before as well but many didn’t). Unfortunately you lost many clients from the locals ( locals were common customers in this bar) and the bar that was always completely full, this year stands half empty. And the reason for that is not, like everyone claims, “ cheap tourists” but the ridiculous policy. Shame as it was one of the best places...

I just arrived home from a great holiday in Zakynthos and I am still living the nice quiet and peaceful moments in Havana which it was our last location today.Myself and my husband had a great time in Havana for a couple of days,lovely drinks and friendly staff.I am not sure the staff can manage so many hours a day in the heat but they were always very nice.The 2 girls always very nice,they look sisters but I am not sure about that. The guys were also great,friendly, professional and always happy to help. We come in Zakynthos very often and it has been a couple of years since we first came.We are happy to see they have extended and always improve in their services. The only downside it was the food,pasta it was overcooked and yesterday had a funny taste but we loved the Greek salad with the authentic and proper olive oil. The music is very nice and good quality customers as well. Thanks again you all and well done for the hard work you are doing to keep this place nice...

I don’t recommend this place! I payed 60 Euro for 6 sunbeds and 10:30 and at 13:00 I retun to hotel to eat lunch and stay 2 hours and when I come back other people was seated on my 6 sunbeds and when ask some explication from the staff they say that they had a policy to gather yours towels and to give the same sunbeds that you already paid, to other tourist that pay again for sunbeds althgout thay initialy didn’t tell me about this rule but after this happen the show me a paper this thai rule. Very unprofessional way to interact with tourist! Are many other beach in Laganas doesn’t deserve to...
