Horizon — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Horribly tasting food and drinks! Orange juice tastes like chemicals, the coffee is awful (we had lattes), the croque madame is something any sane person should avoid (bad tasting cream, extremely over-toasted bread), the omlettes were greasy. And all these at very high prices! Avoiding this place will make your day better!

I don’t know how to reply to a response but here you go: you lied about the coffee saying it was made using an espresso machine; it was just a very bad grinded coffee boiled in a kettle, with milk added. And you name this latte! Shame! The croque maname was really bad: the over-toasted bread was very difficult to cut with the knife and the cream was indeed bad tasting. We ate it because we were very hungry. And learn to identify politeness, I was just polite in the morning. Even if I would have told you, you wouldn’t have done anything. I told you about the coffee and we found it on the bill. We paid it out of politeness too, but nobody drank it. And the orange juice, how dare you?!? It tasted identically with an efervescent pill, a very chemical stuff, probably cheapest you found. Btw, Fanta is 50 times tastier and they still have the decency to name it...

The first thing that is different to other places is that the guy who welcomes you isn't annoying but waits to see that you are interested and then asks you if you need some help.

After that we were greeted by a lady that helped us choose a table and while doing so was really polite. After that she served us the menus. She came frequently around our table to check if we were ready and after we ordered food came blazingly fast.

Saganaki came in 5min and drinks came 1min after that and the waiter even apologised for that 1min, he really didn't need to do that. Saganaki was easy 5/5 after which we waited for the main course carbonara and lamb. It also came in 15min and both dishes were perfect.

Four waiters checked if everything was how we liked it to be, and also instant help if you need help finding a bathroom or something else with a smile on their faces.

To end the night we ordered one baklava to which our main waitress ( the woman from begging ) said, coming right back. And that was really sweet. Baklava was made fresh only for us, still hot from the making proccess.

Hands down the most welcoming chilled out restaurant/bar we've gone to on the island . The staff are amazing so friendly and always happy to tend to any need. Very comfortable Beautiful cocktails made by the very talented barman . The food is out of this world from steaks to ribs to pasta carbonara mouth watering ! Deserts also amazing pancakes was our favourite made from scratch absolutely gorgeous . They aren't to pushy compared to other restaurants . Super fast service. Music is very chill and romantic right on the beach also have seating down by the water that you can sit when you've done your food and have a drink there to chill out . Our favourite place to eat . Most definitely have to be put on your list of restaurants to visit . Also the manager is so amazing remembered us everytime and always checked to make sure our food was good and were we comfortable alot of restaurants in that area could learn alot from this...
