Balsamico — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Worst service ever. All started when the waiter came and he said are you ready to order. We said yes. Then he said that otherwise he would come back in one hour... in such a unfriendly tone. I ordered a gyros plate... it came and had RAW gyros.. I asked a waiter he said he would send someone but that i could still eat it as raw and cooked food mixed wouldnt hurt me... uhm you can get sick from this.... 10 min later still no one to be found... then i asked again... then finally someone came.. he didnt believe me what i said... he said in the most horrible tone of voice.. what do you want then.. well a new plate.. i only had a few bites before i found the raw food..

A new plate came... gyros cold... Then we skipped dessert and asked for the bill.. they charged us more than we ordered.. New bill and fixed.

Such unfriendly waiters (except for one nice lady at the end), only got an apology at the end that did not sound sincere, raw food and to high costs for what you actually...

Unfortunately, I rate this restaurant at 1/5 even though I didn't have a chance to enter there because of a very pushy and rude guy in front of the restaurant who literally stuffed customers inside. This man does not understand the word "no thanks", he pushes the customers by saying that they have to eat here. Every day we politely refused him because we didn't feel comfortable treating us in some way. We checked most of the restaurants on the coast in Laganas except this one because we didn't like how the beach PR was acting. After 7 days of refusing, he started to tease us to be rude and sarcastic. If someone is not suitable for such work, let them just change it, because I known that contact with the client is not easy, but you have to be able to behave yourself. However, if he wants to do it, I suggest sending him to some workshop with customer contact because I think that the restaurant loses a lot due to such behavior and discourages us...

At first it looks like a really nice reataurant. Some of the waiters are not very nice, they seem to be a bit cranky. Others are smiling and asking if you are okay.

The food is not that bad, but I've had better during my stay at Zakynthos. I tried the Veal Carpaccio and the marinated lamb chops.

The carpaccio is nothing more than carpaccio, pieces of cheese, rocket salad and olive oil. The big chunks of rock salt isn't very helpfull...

The marinated lamb chops are not marinated, just the olive oil again and that's it. It wasn't bad, but again... I've had much better.

Then the bill came.

22,50 euro for the okay lamb chops. 14.50 for the okay carpaccio....

Overall with my girlfriend who had tomato soup and a salad we payed 71.00 euros!

Very expensive and for this amount of money, really not...
