We went here for a late lunch after roaming the busy and noisy main street. Right at the entrance, we felt the air conditioning which was great on that particular hot summer day. The place seems quite popular, attracting mainly young crowds, as its location is right on the main street and very near the beach. We were not very pleased with some of the other patrons who were a bit too loud, but the food and drinks made our stay more tolerable. We started off with some fresh juice - strawberry and watermelon - and a local beer, which was properly served in a frozen glass. The juice was very good and refreshing - we recommend getting the large size, if you're feeling particularly in need of cooling down. For food, we ordered the moussaka which was hearty and very good. The cheese pizza with halloumi and feta was especially delicious. We also ordered the grilled mixed fish, which was very good and came with a side of grilled vegetables - a pleasant surprise and change from the usual french fries found at other places. The mixed fish platter was a rather large portion and the variation of the local fish itself was very nice. A special detail, if you will: the staff is very attentive to details, but not in a disturbing manner. It seemed that everyone had a job to do and they did not dilly-dally. They always seemed to be getting busy doing or cleaning something, and that says a lot about a foid establishment. All in all, it was a very good restaurant that we would gladly...
Read moreFive visits, countless memories, and zero regrets—this taverna is a true Zante gem you can’t miss!
We absolutely loved this taverna! We came five times during our stay and still couldn’t get enough. From the moment we discovered it, we were hooked—the food, the atmosphere, everything was fantastic. From the house wine to every single dish we ordered, we loved it all. The portions are huge and incredibly tasty.
We especially adored the lamb kleftiko, the sardines, and honestly, everything we tried. We’ve seen some negative reviews about simpler items, but if you’re in Greece, embrace the local cuisine—don’t expect a sandwich and then complain!
The atmosphere is wonderful, and it’s clear this taverna is popular, so there may be queues. But if you’re respectful and civilised, the staff will always welcome you warmly and accommodate everyone waiting. The staff and waitresses work tirelessly long hours, and if you approach them kindly, you’ll see how lovely and dedicated they are.
We will definitely return next time we’re in Zante. We literally loved everything and highly recommend this gem to anyone...
Read moreGenuinely the tastiest meal I've had so far in Zante. We've unintentionally come at extremely low season so have been quite disappointed to see that 95% of restaurants are still closed (despite what google says), and whichever ones are still open are typically fast food joints. But not Eat Greek. After walking around all morning to find a place to eat in Laganos, we had reluctantly sat down to eat at Eat Greek out of default by my god was the food tasty!? We were completely wrong to judge a book by its low season cover and I enjoyed the most authentic prawn dish ever. I've forgotten what it's called but I believe it was the 2nd option down on the menu in the seafood section. I will 1000% be going back there to eat this again before I leave the island. Partner got the mixed grill and whilst it wasn't as mind blowing as my dish, it was certainly one of the best he's had so far on the island too. Service was quick and efficient and the place was clean! Thank you to the family that has decided to open during low season! We are...
