The starter was okay. The main course was disappointing though. I had ordered a shrimp pasta. It came with 2-3 fresh shrimps and the other shrimps were clearly not fresh. This was quite disappointing because I paid more here for the shrimp pasta than in other restaurants which serve only fresh shrimps in their pasta. Taste wise both pastas were soaked in oil and didn’t taste that good. But the worst part was that there was a hair in my pasta. My boyfriend took it out because he wanted me to not feel disgusted by the meal but I couldn’t carry on eating it. I reclaimed this and the brother of the owner didn’t believe me and thought I was lying that I would confuse this with it being a shrimp leg (the hair was black). I get that you question me because my boyfriend had already taken out the hair but the reaction of him was inappropriate. He said that all women would be wearing nets. I had a perfect view into the kitchen and can say that the women were not wearing nets they had a kind of towel around their head like a headband (protecting them from sweating?). I would want to give one star for the hair, not tasty/fresh food and inappropriate response but in the end the owner really tried his best to cover this experience up that’s why I can’t only...
Read moreWe chose this place because of all the glowing reviews. I don't get it. We've been traveling Greece for 3 weeks and this was one of the worst meals we've had food-wise. Service was friendly and fine. As soon as the Tzaziki got dropped at the table and it was creamy looking I had suspicions this meal wasn't going to be great. I asked the food runner what it was because of the coloration and he said thought it was taramosalata (fish spread) which is kind of what it looked like, but I clarified that we had ordered the eggplant dip (melatzanosalata) and he said, "oh yes, thats what it is, they look similar". At this place its clear they put yogurt in their eggplant dip which makes it look (to the waiter) indistinguishable from fish dip. Needless to say, after weeks dining out in Greece, there has never been a question between the two. Enough said. Everything else was similarly mediocre. I get that the location is in the midst of a bunch of tourist trap restaurants, but for a restaurant with 4.8 stars on Google, I'm expecting above average. If you have low expectations, Im sure you'll be fine here, which is likely how it earned its rating. If you want a great meal,...
Read moreDecided to check this place out as it had amazing reviews, its also in a great location and has that authentic Greek look and feel to it. We ordered a sea food platter for two which consisted of a really good variety of sea food, home made chips and salad. From the start the service was really good with the owner’s son personally serving us. He explained that this is a traditional family restaurant and that it is his parents cooking in the kitchen! Before our main course came out we received a complimentary and very authentic garlic bread which was delicious. Our main was delicious and most importantly fresh, could not fault a thing. After our meal we were surprised to receive a complimentary and lovely greek dessert which we have never had before, alongside it came the limoncello of course. There were multiple lovely touches during our meal which we really appreciated. Upon paying the bill we even got a wave from the owners who were busy in the kitchen. Lovely little place, a must go to...
