Sanpiero Restaurant Bar — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

On arrival we were greeted by a middle aged woman who assumed “table for two” and immediately started walking to a table, and did not give us the opportunity to advise we had made a booking. My husband followed her and advised about the booking. We were then shown to a different table.

Fifteen minutes later a young male waiter arrived at our table to take our order. We ordered sparkling water, a mojito and a large beer. He appeared annoyed we were not ready to order our food yet.

Ten minutes later the sparkling water arrived. Another ten minutes later and the mojito and beer arrived. We were asked (again) if we were ready to order our food. We obliged as we were already seeing that the service was slow and the staff were not pleasant.

It was the worst Mojito I have ever had and after two sips I abandoned it. I stuck to the sparkling water.

The food was served in a reasonable time by a young female staff member who was abrupt and appeared annoyed when we couldn’t work out quickly enough the meals she was delivering.

My husband enjoyed his meal but not the lack of service. I didn’t enjoy any part of my experience so we left and went elsewhere so I could eat.

A softly spoken female staff member was clearing the table next to us and asked if everything was ok. I advised I had not enjoyed my experience and my husband was paying the bill. She walked away.

When the middle aged woman came to the table to take payment, she also asked if everything was ok to which I replied the same as I had done previously. Again she had nothing to say, took payment and left. Neither of them asked for feedback.

I'll start by saying that we don't usually eat at the same place twice, but we ate here about 10 days out of 14 for dinner and daily for breakfast & lunch. I can say for sure we ate around 80% of the menu if not more. We haven't tried anything and not like it, absolutely everything was excellent, and we were surprised by how quick the food was ready. Plating, taste, everything was amazing. Large variety of drinks as well, and the little wine room is a very nice touch. The restaurant is right on the beach so the views are breathtaking. About the staff...not sure I have enough words for them. They truly are the greatest asset this restaurant has. Athina, George, Leo and Yiannis are absolutely amazing, we felt like they are close friends of ours since a long time ago. They are part of what made our days here so good. The kitchen staff was so nice! We needed help with our baby's food and they helped us no questions asked. One big plus are the sunbeds. Very comfortable and greately positioned. Only...

We were a group of four and had an absolutely wonderful dinner at Sanpiero. The atmosphere was unbeatable — we were seated with a stunning sea view, accompanied by live bouzoukia music, which added an authentic Greek touch to the whole experience. The food was fantastic. We enjoyed perfectly cooked lamb and steaks, paired with a fresh Greek salad and a delicious bottle of Merlot. Every bite was full of flavor, and it’s clear the chefs really know what they’re doing — thank you to the kitchen team! The service was spot on. A big shoutout to Despina, who absolutely smashed it — warm, friendly, and super professional. Athina was also incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening.
