BLUE SEA — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Very lovely, family run greek taverna. A true hidden gem, no fancy sunbeds etc, but good, very tasty meals. Dishes feel very home-ly. Honestly, I feel that i will have to come back to Zakynthos just for this place. We travelled around the island and it's second time we've been on this island and yes, it's the best taverna I was ate. Owner very lovely lady, mum in kitchen. I can 100% recommend this place. And I shit you not the best calamari I had on island! And I've had quite few of them in that time I was there on holidays (twice!).

They might not look fancy, but do come in, get some calamari, wine and enjoy really lovely greek zakynthian...

I haven't seen any reviews for the aparments that blue sea has so here it goes.. I have to say what a wonderful family run business this is !! Denise was very welcoming and acomadating. We arrived at 6:30am and they had no problem directing us to our room and preparing us breakfast after a long track from Canada. The location was PERFECT right on the beach and so close to all atractions. The whole family gave us great pointers only locals would know, gave us sun beds at a discounted rate. Everything was perfect from A to Z! Food, comfort of sleep , views and Customer service ...

We went to Blue Sea expecting good seafood, but we were very disappointed. The mixed fish platter was completely burnt and almost inedible. The hamburger for the child was also very bad, even I couldn’t eat it. On top of that, service was very slow – we waited more than 30 minutes for the food. For a group of 8 people with a bill of nearly 200 euros, the quality was very poor. No complimentary fruit or ice cream was offered either, which is usually a nice gesture in Greece.
