The Olive Tree: A Gem in the Community I had the absolute pleasure of dining at The Olive Tree multiple times during my recent holiday, and I can confidently say it's a hidden gem. The food is simply outstanding. Every dish is cooked to perfection, with flavors that burst on your palate. The portions are just right, ensuring you leave feeling satisfied without being stuffed. What truly sets The Olive Tree apart is the staff. They're incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely care about their customers. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. One evening, they surprised my dad with a birthday banner, making his special day even more memorable. The restaurant's attention to detail is impeccable. Even when a storm hit during our visit, they quickly moved everyone inside to ensure we could still enjoy our evening. It's clear that they prioritize customer comfort and satisfaction. If you're looking for delicious food, excellent service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, I highly recommend visiting The Olive Tree. It's a place where you'll feel like family, and you'll keep coming back for...
Read moreLoved the Ambience, we don't really enjoy much of the Greek tourist fast food type of places, so we keep looking for interesting local cuisine which is not loaded Fries and Mayo, or hamburgers.
The olive tree just fit the bill. I ordered the lamb chops, but wanted remarkable well done, I guess i should have asked for medium. It became a hard chew. All the same it was served with wildgreens toasted with olive oil.
My partner who went for sea Baas waxed eloquently on her choice.
However it was interesting to see the drama in the next table, a couple had ordered a steak with pepper sauzen.. her man also had a steak. I could see it was rare, he didn't seem to enjoy it.
When the waiter came along to enquire if every thing was ok, they told him that it was not edible and they had asked for welldone.
Now this is where my respect for the establishment rose a level. The waiter immediately apologised and insisted on bringing a fresh repeat, they said no, he kent offering alternatives and they finally agreed on a nice glaas of wine.
The things is the attitude. Will we go there again... yes...

I was expecting a huge burst of flavor to tantalise my tonsils, along side the abient music payed softly through out the restraunt with beautiful traditional Greek decor and stunningly handsome waiter. Instead I was served a plate of tortelloni that could have been better prepared by a novis. Served in a plain white dish, with little garnish, some tortelloni pieces were undercooked which meant it had to be chewed like gum. The filling was dry and cold. The only thing that gave it any flavor was the creamy cheese sauce, which covered up the over powering earthy taste. The portion size was small which was a relief but meant I came out hungry.
Waiting for the natural flavors to leak through was like waiting for a drunken man to finish his last drink,it didn't happen.
