Valentina's Castle — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Well I shall start with a positive note. The food was lovely when we got it.

Now I'll tell you the rest. We pre-booked for a table of 7 and as we entered the restaurant the table was not even set up. We ordered our food and were informed there would be a wait on the food. We agreed and said that was fine. One hour and a half later we received one meal every 7 minutes. Still with no cutlery or condiments. Three meals were wrong and they tried to pass them off as being correct when they were in fact in the wrong sauce. And a the seafood platter included three fish selection. One was unavailable so we accepted them. However out of mussel and prawns one came with no prawns and one came with mostly empty mussels. The staff were completely rude and arrogant. Other customers were laughing at the fact that our meals were wrong and the staff were also laughing which is even more appalling.

Out for the meals that were correct two people had to wait over half an hour from when the first meal came out. There was nothing wrong with those meals so why were they simply delivered once prepared.

We were not offered any discount or sincere apology. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all as the service was shocking! By the time we got it food was cold. Even when we asked for the bill we were left waiting when all we wanted was to escape this hell hole.

Two of our party have been coming to Greece for 27 years and we have never felt the need to leave a negative review. Until now.

Don't eat here the staff do not deserve...

This place is amazing & a wee hidden gem. The prices for the large selection of food and drink is amazing and very reasonable . The place is such a stunning setting. This is a family run restaurant and they all work so hard. The food is amazing, the best we had all holiday. You will not be disappointed, we visited twice during our weeks stay. Mum is the cook and what an amazing cook she was. The son is such a lovely polite young man & provides such a great service, credit to his parents. We cant forget Max the dog, get well soon Max. We will see you all next year & enjoy well deserved break. Highly recommend beef stew, mussels, prawns & tomato soup but all the food was great & the bread. This is must visit, if stayin in the resort as you wont be disappointed. Even worth travelling if...

Really nice place, we are staying in the other end of tsilivi and had a walk down to here for dinner after reading the reviews on here. The food was great and the atmosphere was relaxed, beer and food was good and the red wine was good. Thank you to the other reviewers for recommending and we will be back for sure the staff were great as was the service. Returned last night 28th August whilst tsilivi was chaos we decided to revisit, as before the food was fantastic it was busy enough I guess the service was great and excellent value.
