Courser Chinese Restaurant tsilivi zakynthos — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

At first glance i thought i was going to step in another "tourist trap" but not gonna lie i was truly suprised by this resturant ! The staff was super polite and helpfull , the menu had a great variety to choose from and the portions were satisfyingly big . I had the crispy duck bao bun for starters and i have to say the duck was cooked properly and it smelled amazing only con id say the plum sause was a bit too much for one portion , devoured it whole though . Next i had the mango salad which was light and perfect for a summer afternoon lunch definitely recommended to try , after that i had the most amazing fried dumplings ive ever had ! Prepared to perfection i might add 😊 last but not least i had some sushi where the portions were great as well but the rice was a bit overcooked for my taste , overall its a 5/5 for me a little gem for a perfect afternoon bite if you ever in zakynthos ! Went on the 25th of June at approximately 19:30 welcoming staff sat us down promptly. We ordered the following Bottled water and Fanta lemon Veggie Spring rolls (2 large, very nice) Steamed rice (risotto-style rice, not your usual long grain or basmati, however, this style of rice seems to be the norm in Zante) Salt and pepper garlic chips (very nice, French fresh style as opposed to chips though) Veggie curry ( best dish of the evening, ordered medium spice and that was hot enough, I think hot would be overbearing, especially with the sun) Veggie tofu ( not bad, came in a sauce but couldn't describe what it was, served with peppers, onions, carrot, broccoli and cabbage) Beef in black bean sauce ( very nice, good amount of beef and sauce) Plain fried noodles ( very nice )

This was for two people and was more that sufficient. Total bill €58 all in. There was approximately 5-6 other tables during our dinner who ordered and cleaned...

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Couldn’t even eat my meal. Got the set menu, overpriced for what it was. Chinese salad to start was tiny and flavourless just vinegary. Prawn crackers were white and flavourless. Got the chicken curry of which was basically curry powder, water and a lot of cornstarch to the point of being jelly curry. Chicken pieces were ok but that was literally the only plus here. Partner got sweet and sour chicken which was fried but obviously old and probably microwaved it was that soggy and chewy. Sauce was bad. Don’t get me started on the rice. It was microwave packet rice (I presume) a rice cooker is clearly null and void.. how is rice hard to cook at a Chinese resteraunt?? Was going to order more - glad we didn’t. Service was ok but no checking to make sure the meal was good whilst it sat infront of me un eaten and in shock. Dont do it. Avoid. That’s all. Waste of...
