Vraxos Restaurant Bar — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

The restaurant seems to be opened only at dinner time. We walked past it at noon and lunch, but it always seemed closed. In the end, we decided to have a nice dinner, mainly because it has a gorgeous view to the open sea.

We ordered a pork souvlaki and chicken souvlaki, with baklava and chocolate waffle for dessert. Everything was delicious and in generous portions, even the Mythos draught. The waffle was quite good, not something you get at every Greek restaurant. The only thing I could've used more was the tzatziki for the souvlaki.

The food came fast. We didn't have to wait a lot, thought we went and paid ourselves at the bar since it became crowded and the two waiters had their hands full.

If you plan to have dinner here, get the table by the seaside. And if you plan for two people, they will only place you at the...

Absolutely lovely place with nice sea view, you don't even care you are sitting in the hill... But that's almost all about positives. The worst is the waiting time for everything! We have been waiting 25 min for a dring, 45 min for starter and 1h 20 min for a main dish! When we came, we have been almost alone in the restaurant. The service was horible so. At the end most of the meal was very delicious, only fully destroyed by the service. We faced troubles with the steak. My son asked for medium-rare and it was really almost raw. When we asked to fix it, the lady started to discuss and push, that it is OK... finally they took it back and finished the meat as we wanted. Could be absolutely great place to recomend, it has big potential, but cannot recomend now. Wish you good luck...

This is the worst place in Zakynthos. I asked for table water and they told me I had to pay and the water isn't safe to drink here. This has not been true for the ten other islands I've visited, or other restaurants I've eaten at on this island since. I ordered a salad. They brought it to me with half the portion of cheese on top. I thought it was weird that they had sliced it so small but thought maybe it was normal until I was leaving and saw other person with a salad with a whole block of feta. The drinks were not refilled once and no one checked on us at all during the whole meal despite the fact no one else was in the restaurant until the very end when we left. Very disappointed. Months in Greece and this restaurant made me feel like I was a money target for them....
