Since I'm enjoying my holidays in the town without the duty of cooking, I decided to go around and check the nearest restaurants and their food. Pierros was open in the morning so I decided to have breakfast here and later on I also had dinner. For breakfast I ordered eggs with bacon, sausage, feta cheese and salad. All wonderfully done and very tasty. For dinner I went with Greek moussaka and slow cooked ribs with mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious and the portions were really big so I am sure no-one will ever walk away hungry from this restaurant. The prices are in the mid-range, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxing. I cannot give anything less...
Read moreGreek night here is the biggest scam in Zante, some old overdone meat from a bbq, a promise that wine and beer is included in the €30 price but after one bottle (with 4 people) you get told you have to pay extra for more (also for a glass of water which isn’t included). If you ask for help on the matter you get told 1 minute 6 times and also the service is pathetic. 3 old dudes pretending to play instruments to be considered live music and 2 people tip toeing and whistling loudly to be considered dancing. Absolutely outrageous and disgusting. Would not recommend to anyone or ever come near this...

I have tried the following: sea bream - which was roasted not grilled (as they said) and savourless, dry; greek salad - was lack of olive oil; village salad had a very good cheese (goat & cow) but more than 50% consisted in a sort of croutons (bread) - such a pity! hummus - the worst, which had sour taste - maybe of vinegar, hoping not from fermentation (not lemon for sure) and preservatives; to mention that I often prepare hummus at home and often eat in lebanese restaurants so I know very well how...
