I had the most fantastic experience at the best steak house in Guatemala! From the moment I stepped in, I was captivated by the fusion of art and dining, making it a unique and memorable visit.
The ambiance of the art gallery added a sophisticated touch to the dining experience. The artwork complemented the atmosphere perfectly, creating an artistic backdrop for enjoying delicious meals.
Speaking of meals, the food was beyond amazing! I tried the milanese and Tapado soup, and they were hands down the best I've ever had. The flavors were exquisite, and the presentation was impeccable.
The cocktails were a highlight as well. Each sip was bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. They truly added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.
What truly sets this place apart is the staff. They are super professional, attentive, and friendly. Their knowledge of the menu and recommendations made the dining experience even more delightful.
And let's not forget the huge beautiful garden in the back. It's a hidden gem that adds a touch of tranquility and charm to the whole experience. Dining al fresco surrounded by lush greenery was a treat for the senses.
Overall, I highly recommend this steak house to anyone looking for a combination of art, amazing food, expertly crafted cocktails, professional staff, and a beautiful outdoor setting. It's a must-visit...
Read moreThis place was recommended by a friend. We dined here for my birthday (party of 16). The atmosphere was beautiful unfortunately the service was not. Had to constantly ask for a refill on drinks, waiter (2 were assigned to our table) we never attentive. Whenever we asked for something it was a loooong wait to receive it. We ordered 2 meat grilled platters and 1 seafood. I specifically asked the waiter to not over cook my seafood and of course that's how it came to the table. Shrimp were hard and octopus was hard and chewy from being over cooked. Later my husband asked for a dirty martini with olives and the waiter brought a whole different drink and when it was rejected the waiter insisted in us drinking it because it was already made and it could not be returned. We left the drink at the table. Later we ordered half a bottle of tequila for the table 30 minutes later we were told they didn't have any half bottles of any tequila on the list. We then asked for the whole bottle of don julio and they came back with a jose cuervo. Definitely not what I envisioned my birthday lunch was going to be. The women bathrooms were always busy and 1 was out of order. We just asked for the check and left disappointed. Not a great way to spend $500! Casa Escobar was by far better...

Wl Arte served the best food that we have tried in Guatemala!
We ordered the mixed steak plate for two plus a shrimp ceviche. The steak plate comes with Lomito, Puyaso (probably misspelled), sausage, and chicken.
The Lomito with various dipping sauces was heavenly delicious! I couldn’t have enough of it! The sausage was also extremely well made and full of flavor.
The serving staff at El Arte were the best! They helped us (non-Spanish speakers) to understand the menu and made great recommendations. We appreciate that they put on a mini show for us when serving the food.
One entree (for two), one appetizer plus three drinks came to be around 650 GTQs (around US$90). Expensive but worth the experience...
