Lazzaroni, Panajachel — Restaurant in Panajachel

Atmosphere poor, there was a TV on with full sound in the background with what looked like staff/family members sitting watching a movie. Service also non existent, drinks took 20mins to arrive even though we were the only people in the restaurant and the 2 pizzas we ordered arrived after 45mins and with no apology or explanation for the delay (again there was no one else in the restaurant and which probably should’ve been our first warning). The pizzas themselves were dry and lacking flavour. There was meant to be a tomato base but I couldn’t detect any, the base was not what you would call traditional by European/US standards and was super dry and more like hard bread than pizza dough. Very expensive and probably be better just going to Dominos (event though I prefer not to use chains). Perhaps this is how pizzas are in Guatemala but safe to say we won’t be having any...

Unfortunately I can’t give this place five stars, I came here for breakfast with a tour. The food was okay but nothing special, the problem is that this place needs to improve on cleaning, the bathroom is next to kitchen, my coffee had something strange inside. Prices is good for what you get but I definitely not coming back and I recommend you looking for somewhere...

They are the same owners of ricasollis pizza up the street and I would definitely not recommend this place, had the worst GI tract infection after eating there. Myself and my mother in-law, we both fell sick with the same infection from the same pizza. It was the only place we ate that day and at night we were both having massive GI problems. They should close that...
