Arrived at 6 pm was hanging out in the rooftop (terraza) at 10 pm owner came up to advise we could not be making noise past 9 pm. We hung out quietly and the owner came up again asking us to head to our rooms because we were laughing and no one was allowed in the common areas after 9 pm. (The clubs next door had their music bumping you could hear it a mile away) Do not stay here unless you want to be in bed sleeping by 9 pm. Also, the son of owner is very rude. We were speaking Spanish and he quickly changed the conversation to English to avoid his parents understanding the rude comments he was making.
Read moreHorrible service at breakfast to English speaking hotel customers comparing to Spanish speaking. Sort of personal xenophobic atittude from hotel worker. My autistic son and I were awaiting for breakfast for more than 40 -50 min for 3 days when at the same time Spanish speaking people were served in a few min !!!! Did I mentioned about cold pancakes and extremely dry bagel we have got after long waiting time ?!||||I wish I had no reason to write this negative review but this negative experience really made my autistic son and me very upset. We spent 10 days in Guatemala and met only nice people. We had fantastic service in other hotels we stayed during our trip. Nobody exposed to us such a sarcastic and neglected attitude that we received from the girl who worked in this hotel. ||Overall, the hotel location and room vere good but that bad biased service we received from hotel worker created very...
Read moreIt was a breath of fresh air. The outside of the property was beautiful, with flowers, plants and beautiful murals on the walls. I loved my stay at Villas Jabel Tinamit. The staff were helpful & courteous. The rooms were spacious, you could open the windows. The room also had a large fan, hair dryer, and as a bonus they lend you umbrellas for those rainy nights. The beds & pillows were so comfortable. I had the best sleep here, I did not want to leave. There's a terrace where you can go and sit and read, or catch sunrise or sunset. The location was perfect, to easily walk to Santander road to check out the restaurants, buy locally from the artisans, and also walk down to Lake Atitlán. The stay also included breakfast and coffee, which had a few menu items to choose from. The Típico breakfast was I at had, and it was delicious. I highly...
