Restaurant review only - I live in NYC and I usually eat out in diferent types of places depending the ocassion. We stopped by in Antigua for 2d after Lake Atitlan. Someone recommend the place, and I booked for the 4 of us. The ambiance is pretty in the whole restaurant, they had live music with an extra charge of 35Q/pp at the piano room, we decided to eat at the courtyard and do not pay that non sense fee with the already high prices menu. The ilumination was so dark that u barely see what u r eating, the romantic concept of  darkness need a review, candles dont help at all. My cel phone helped me to see the plates. Service is polite, nice and friendly, plates are small, good taste but nothing exquisite pr out of the world. We ordered carpaccio, tuna tartar, filet mignon and thai chicken. In general, the food, cocktails and even seltzer(50Q) are super pricey for Guatemala. Maybe it's worth to visit once. I think Posada Don Rodrigo is much a better deal.

Simply an incredible hotel, I cannot recommend this place enough. * The rooms are incredibly beautiful - Well appointed interiors, careful attention has been paid to every detail, very comfortable beds, and everything was beautifully cleaned every day. * The staff is so very very helpful and friendly, and they put up with my broken Spanish, very helpful and trying to get anything and everything I needed. * Food is exquisite - having a full restaurant inside the hotel was an incredible treat, every night at dinner was a very luxurious experience. This restaurant is the place to come and Guatemala for engagements and all sorts of special events for generations of people, people drive down from Guatemala City just to eat at this restaurant. So for me to be able to have dinner here every night was an incredible honor and treat! I can't wait to come back and stay here again!

Gorgeous hotel with an excellent restaurant inside. If not too busy they'll even serve you breakfast in the rooftop terrace!! Stunning views from up there as well. Our king suite was beautiful with a nice bath tub (room #11). A very nice breakfast is included as is a welcome cocktail. Also, this was the softest mattress I've slept on in Antigua yet, which was really nice. Few minor cons: No screen to keep bugs out & room gets warm with windows closed. Mosquitoes are fierce in Antigua! But this is common to every single hotel I stayed at here in Antigua. The room is a bit warm but they provide a fan. The hotel is about 7min walk from center of city, cafes, etc. No big deal for me as i love to walk. Also it's much quieter as a result at night.

It would seem unfair to give this hotel an average score but very good seems a bit generous. |The location is just a short walk from the main part of Antigua, so it is very well situated. | We had suite No 6 which is big but the balcony is not private at all and overlooks the central area where the outside dining is- plus a walk way up to the roof terrace. That said it does have a nice hammock that you can relax in.|The room was cavernous and the bed comfortable but little touches missing (there is lovely soap, shampoo/ body lotion in the bathroom but no cotton wool, slippers etc)||The pool is not really a pool- it's within the hotel restaurant so it's only available up till 11am | |The breakfast menu is very limited but it was fine, if you don't like eggs though you may struggle, the waiters were always lovely (but why make them wear such formal stuffy attire?) the outside setting for breakfast (or lunch/dinner) is lovely|we had dinner one night in the "cave" restaurant, the food was great, huge portions...|Had a drink in the bar but felt a little soulless.||The big issue for us was that 2 out of the 3 nights the venue next door played VERY loud music which was not great. at one point I could feel every single vibration of the beat... when we asked at reception they did say "they usually stop by 10pm" which to be fair they did.|Was this hotel awful, absolutely not, there are some great things to like about it but would we stay again, I doubt it, there are other better options in...

Booked this hotel based on a friend’s recommendation. Loved it! Was milestone birthday visit for us, totally pleased and already planning the next visit this year! We stayed four nights in Suite 7, which was even nicer than described on the website. Quite large, especially for a couple, and was very comfortable. The restaurant was excellent too! Breakfast everyday of our stay was included, and so good was well dressed and English speaking Guatemalan wait staff. We loved it so much, we even had lunch there twice and dinner once! White table cloths during the day, black at night. The food was wonderful, fresh, local, and served in generous proportions. Loved it. ||The concierge and front desk staff were wonderful, professional yet personable. The manager was always around during the day and was super hospitable and helpful with suggestions for places to go and things to do. ||Again, everybody here was wonderful. Don’t forget to visit the rooftop! Views of the city and open day and evenings. ||Note— lots of stone steps, would be tough to navigate if physically disabled. The pool is a lap pool, limited hours, but in a gorgeous setting. Onsite parking if needed. Extremely well round hotel. And within a short walking distance of...

This is a place that is hard to describe without experiencing it firsthand. Antigua's beauty is everywhere, but the hotel's beauty is mesmerizing and magical. You are surrounded by caring staff, incredible food, and top-notch service at every level. I have traveled worldwide, and this is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. I want to ensure guests know that Antigua is not a sleepy little hamlet. It does, however, generally shut down most noise by 10:00 p.m. This is especially important as the hotel is next door to a venue hosting multiple weddings and other mic-assisted and DJ-assisted events throughout the year. We were here in the Jan- Feb timeframe, so it is considered high season for North Americans to escape the cold. This was also the high season for weddings and commemorative parties. If you can occupy yourself in town each night until 10:00 p.m., you will never even notice this. As an older traveler, that was sometimes a stretch. But even with this nuisance, it shuts down promptly at 10:00 p.m., no matter what was appreciated and not that hard...
