420 Bar — Restaurant in Sololá

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! DO NOT RECOMMEND. My 2 friends and I bought tickets to the pub crawl physically in the bar the day before the event. Throughout the entire town were posters and flyers of the pub crawl. Some of the flyers said the pub crawl starts at 5pm while others (a huge poster plastered to the front of the bar) stated the pub crawl starts at 7pm. Since my friends and I bought tickets at the physical bar, we saw the big poster and noted to ourselves that the pub crawl would be at 7pm. The following night we arrive at the bar at 7pm (the time in which the pub crawl is supposed to begin). However we are told by the waitress at the bar (important to note that the bar only promotes the pub crawl and doesn’t work for it) that we are late and that it started 2 hours ago (meaning at 5pm). We show her the poster outside of the bar which clearly shows the time the pub crawl beings. The waitress tries to contact the pub crawl owner, who tells her that the tickets are not refundable. We start going back and forth with the waitress (who is relaying our conversation to the owner via text) trying to explain how disappointed we are and how it isn't our fault but theirs. The employees at the bar try to offer us to join the pub crawl or to go to some techno party that was planning on happening later that evening. We didn’t want any of those options as our mood had completely gone down due to all that happened and they were just not relevant anymore. We just wanted a refund and to go home. This request could not be done by the bar employees so we had to wait 20 minutes until the pub crawl owner came just for him to say that the tickets are not refundable and that we have to pick either to join the pub crawl late or go to the techno party! The techno party wasn’t even relevant to the pub crawl and had nothing to do with anything!! Even though we tried MANY times to explain to the pub crawl owner, Forrest, that this situation is his problem and that all we want is to leave and get our money back he didn’t budge and kept on saying that a refund is not possible. Forrest spoke in an extremely rude and condescending way saying things like “We are in Guatemala I don’t have to do anything”. After almost an hour of back and forth with Forrest who was clearly not understanding anything we were saying and just repeating the same sentences over and over again (didn’t even acknowledge that they made a mistake in their poster!!) we decided out of no other choice to join the pub crawl. Forrest told us the location of the group and we went to join them. However once arriving we found out that Forrest had sent us to join the competitors pub crawl (Mr.Mullets). We had completely different wrist bands than them and had no connection to their pub crawl!! No money was refunded, the night ended in such a big disappointed. We were all extremely frustrated. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS PUB CRAWL. What company treats the customer in such a horrible way. AVOID THIS PUB CRAWL AT...

Would definitely not recommend this bar. Got bitten by a dog INSIDE their bar while standing at the counter. Turned out the dog is a street dog sleeping in the bar. The bar owner didn’t want to take any responsibility, then agreed to bring me to a friend of her who is a doctor and would give me the vaccine the next day. The next day she thought about it differently though telling me with such a small wound I wouldn’t need any vaccine shot. Was also very, very unfriendly calling me bad names. Not what you would expect after such a thing happening. Not wanting to take any risk contaging rabies I had to go to a private clinic and pay the vaccine myself. Watch out, this bar is...

Absolutely love this place! You’re treated like family right from the start, and the drinks and food are top notch—the food in particular is really good. Get a crunchy chicken wrap if they have them!
