Casa Blanca San Pedro — Hotel in Sololá

Had booked two private rooms but on arrival they would only give us one private room and one semi private, we were tired from travelling so didn't argue and checked in. Then when being shown our rooms we find that there is no electricity in the whole hotel, they tell us they don't know when it will be fixed and also won't give us any candles so we can see in the room. After 2 hours (which we spent trying to book another hotel) the electricity came back on so we decided to stay. However the hotel was average at best and we found that the prices at the bar got more expensive every time we ordered (4 beers at the start of the day was 44Q and was 66Q next time we ordered). This hotel has a great view of the lake and a nice reception /bar area. Apart from that the room was very basic. We stayed there for 3 nights and no-one cleaned the room!Our toilet was blocked during all our stay and we were advised to use the shared one( although we chose an ensuite room). They promised to fix it but no-one came to even check it. The shower was barely warm. We had an issue with paying for our room at 6pm in the evening! as we were leaving early the following day( although it's said that payments were accepted till 9pm). A lot of room for improvement! The staff was nice but everything else was a bit of a let down for me.

The sheets of the bed had some very curious stains and the toilet seat even had a fresh yellow droplet on it.

At night our room had flooded and we had to place all of our wet luggage on the bed to prevent it from laying in a 6 cm layer of water. Our reaction was to inform the hotel staff of the situation but no staff was available to help us.

In the morning it became clear that this was a regular problem at the room I was staying in, but no one had thought of telling us.
