Pita Sabij — Restaurant in Sololá

Me and my partner decided to dine here after walking past and seeing heaps of people inside. We hadn't eaten all day and we were so excited to dig in after reading a heaps of 5 star reviews. After flipping through the menu, we both happily decided on the 'Chicken Shawarma Plate'. Tummies rumbling, we anxiously waited for our food. Thankfully, the wait time wasn't that long! Our plates made it to the table! But our stomachs dropped.. My partner took one look at the portion size of the chicken and his head fell into his hands. The portion size for the fries, however, was quite good! We decided to start with the fries to savour our chicken. Unfortunately, they were extremely overdone and dry - yet strangely also oily? My mouth felt like it was lathered in a greasy film whilst it was being torn apart by my poor teeth having to bite into little shards of glass. We originally intended on also having dessert here. Thanks to the main dish, we decided on elsewhere. It is important to note, though, that the flavour of the chicken was very yummy. You can't visit San Pedro La Laguna without stopping at this A+ lakefront restaurant. The food was SO delicious that we came back here every single day that we were in town, for 3 days in a row. In fact, we left town feeling sad we couldn't come back here the next day.

The falafel and chicken shawarma pita sandwiches were hands down some of the best we've ever had (and we travel a lot!!). The French fries and juices were also amazing. The pita bread is extremely fresh, the hummus is incredible, the seasoning is on point, the portions are generous/filling, and the value is excellent for your money. The service is quick and all the staff members are very friendly.

Last but not least, the VIEWS of the lake are absolutely gorgeous. There is no better place in town to enjoy a freshly made meal overlooking a scenic blue lake with mountains surrounding you. I would give this place 20 stars out of 10 if I could. Do yourself a favor and eat here right away! You won't...

You can only see one comment because my profile is restricted. Maybe focus on improving hygiene instead of checking customer profiles and making a scene lol. I just wrote what I saw. Thankfully, I took a photo of the food after reheating it at the Airbnb. Couldn’t waste it, especially after needing to buy an extra drink to meet the 150q card minimum. If you want to claim this isn’t from your restaurant, I can screenshot the bank statement—but wouldn’t that be awkward?

The place is pretty and the lady who took order is friendly, but if you’re gonna have an open kitchen, it’s probably best if the staff isn’t chatting and laughing while handling the pita bread. One lady was even scratching her neck and back so hard with my chicken wrap in her hand, lol.
