A friend and l went for a day trip to meet up with a friend who l worked with when he lived on Jersey, who now runs a pub on Guernsey
As time was limited we needed a nice casual eatery in central St Peter Port, and we left it to our Guernsey friend to organise
We had breakfast, well coffee and a roll at Dix Neuf, met Darren in Ship and Crown, then walked 30 seconds to here
Not been before and my first thoughts, well decorated but small, however after being seated we received great service from all staff, food for the price a knock out off Christmas menu, £13.50 for 2 courses with drink prices reasonable too, with the bill for three including drinks and tip less than £90
Great day, apart from little disagreement about check in, who initially thought it satisfactory to laugh whilst telling us we were a few minutes too late for check in, with next ship following day, or fly, until a more mature helpful lady seated in check in area was more helpful and got us on the Clipper that night, thank you to her
Happy Christmas folks, and...

I said to myself, hey, you only live once, and I saw the menus: £16 for the cheaper one, you could have half lobster for the main plus loads of good seafood selection for starter other fish. £24 for the more expensive menu - you could have half lobster for starter and full lobster for the main :D I am not greedy so I went for the 2nd menu, some king prawns and garlic to start with and for the mains, an awesome lobster with pasta It was delicious, and I topped it up with a pavlova(they called it meringue though) For £24 pounds I ate like a king Inside it is tiny and cosy and the staff is...
Read moreWow,what a great little place. Quite dated decor, and doesn't look much from the outside, but the food was amazing. We chose to have the 3 courses for £15 option, which was great value. I had the garlic king prawns followed by a spinach and ricotta cannelloni, and my partner had prawn cocktail, followed by a beef,Guinness, and red wine pasta casserole. There was no skimping on the prawns or meat, and the food was delicious. We both finished with a very zingy lemon sorbet with fruit coulis, which rounded the meal off nicely. The staff were lovely and friendly, and I'd definitely recommend trying the place for a great value,...
