Wow, the racism on display here was mind blowing.
As an American was here on my last trip through Korea, this time I brought some of my Vietnamese friends... Apparently that was a mistake. The vastly different way that my friends were treated compared to when I was solo was appalling.
Literally eye rolls, harsh and short speech withheld service.
A Korean group next to us would get service every time they dropped a napkin bit not us. We even had to cook most of our meal ourselves.
Thankfully a different server took over part way through but even then it wasn't that much better.
Dirty looks and side eyes from most the staff the entire time. The blatent racism towards my Vietnamese friends that was on display boggles my mind.
Since I was here on my own last time I ha no idea how differently American and Vietnamese would be treated, even as I write this I'm in absolute disbelief.

Our meat was way overcooked, burnt even, and our first ever black pig experience was rather underwhelming. Also, they might have forgotten to give us some of the soups we ordered, which we get it, they were busy and things happen, but they surely didn’t forget to include it on our bill. We left smelling like KKBQ, which was to be expected as nobody goes into a tabletop grilling restaurant expecting to walk out smelling like they strolled through a...
Read moreI always come to this place if i visit korea. I’ve been coming here since I was child. This place is our go to place in our family that hold fond memories of mine.
The black pork is PHENOMENAL, it feels different than a regular pork belly BBQ. One thing most of my family members like is Kimchi Stew. It is delicious! I’m not gonna say I tried everything on the menu. Our orders are any soup and black pork mostly.
If you are a foreigner and dont know how to BBQ, the staff will help you. Maybe just ask nicely for help they will do it for you (if not during busy times). Staff are nice.
Overall, if you are new in Seoul and looking for an amazing BBQ, I would 100% recommend...
