Like any board game cafe, this place is a welcome oasis for a cheerful, convivial, relaxing place to hang out and chat over a game. It’s great for dates, friends, or families. We took our kids here, and we snagged a table without a reservation. They have a well-curated selection of games that includes all the popular ones, plus some really great new ones. There’s hundreds of them, organized neatly by category. They also have a list of English language games, and a whole section of games for younger kids (like, around 4-8 years old). The food is tasty, and they have a really solid beer selection. My kids thought the homemade lemonade was not sweet enough, but what do they know—plus it’s not like they were the ones paying for it. Anyway, make this a stop for a hyggelig evening! P.S. They got showers in the bathroom, I guess in case you work up a sweat rolling dice and shuffling decks.

Great place to play board games. The new venue is very neat. It's slightly above 1k HUF to get a table for 3 hours of gaming. They have a huge variety of games on labelled shelves. The stuff is kind and helpful. Probably not the best place to dine, but they have grilled sandwiches and snacks if you get hungry. Altogether it's nice, we've already been here a few times. Also there are different programs happening every week, not even once. The raspberry cheesecake is not really cheesecake, check it out before ordering, but the beef fajitas panini is highly recommended! You can order through your phone, no queueing needed.

Booked a table online for 2, called them a day prior to confirm that (everything was on point). The next day we arrived ~15 minutes earlier, which wasn't an issue, they did let us start playing. The selection of boardgames is just truly impressive! I guess it's better to plan what you wanna play in advance, because there you can easily get overwhelmed by the choice of games. Food & drink option / quality is nothing to write home about (my espresso was horrid), but we didn't go there to eat or drink, so that wasn't a problem. All in all, we had a great time playing Catan and Pharaoh Code!

(Visitor from the UK) Great selection of board games, even though only about 20% are in English, that's plenty. The only downside is that the games boxes are not labelled on the side as English language or not, so it takes a little while to find suitable ones.

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice drinks. Clean toilets. Very affordable, only 4300 florint for two people for three hours, one drink each, about £10 total.

The games list is on Board Game Geek, so you can preview which games you want to play, very helpful.

There are stairs down, so it may be difficult for wheelchair users and others with walking difficulties. I didn't see any elevators.

Definitely recommended if you're in Budapest and want...

The people working there are very nice and it isn't expensive. The nacho's were a bit old and not very crunchy. Because there is a lot of echo (no windows), other people talking (and even hearing our own voices bounce off the walls) was distracting. They have a lot of games. Most of them are in Hungarian, so some games, like Terraforming Mars that have a lot of text on the components aren't very playable for non-native speakers like us. They also have a lot of games with no text on the components, like Meadow that are perfectly well to play. All in all a nice place, but can be a bit overwhelming if you are highly...
