What can I say… On the surface, the apartment looks fine – it has 3 bedrooms with 6 single beds, was clean and tidy, provided towels and free Wi-Fi, and had one air conditioner in the living room. The location is convenient, close to the city and main roads. However, everything was overshadowed by the terrible host – with extremely poor communication, unreliable, not trustworthy, and not responsible. Even if this was a 5-star stay, being managed by this host made it one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The main reason I booked this property was because it advertised free parking, which is rare in Budapest. Months before arrival, I messaged the host via Agoda: “I’d like to stay on a high floor, I’d like a large bed, can I park one car please? We’ll be arriving from Lake Balaton. Please inform if early check-in is possible. Thanks.” No reply. While at Lake Balaton, I emailed again on Thursday asking about early check-in. No reply. I then sent another message via Agoda asking about check-in and parking. Still no reply. Finally, at 14:51 on the day of check-in (just before 3pm), I received an email explaining how to check in – but nothing about parking. I arrived at 15:20 with my family. There was no reception staff – just a self check-in system with 6 lockboxes in a side room. I called the host directly to ask about parking, but was told: • I had not “arranged parking in advance.” • Parking could not be provided. • There was no reception staff to help. • I had to “find my own parking.” Later I found out there is free parking spaces in basement and could open garage door with the key card but didn’t use it as parking was not offered She blamed me for not arranging parking, despite my repeated messages months in advance. No alternative solution was offered. This caused a nightmare situation – it was 36°C, with 3 kids, and I had to struggle to find street parking, carry all our luggage, and try to pay for parking without coins or knowledge of Hungarian. After hours of stress, someone finally helped me download the VoxPay parking app. I contacted Agoda about this, and they suggested I could claim for parking later. Eventually, Agoda kindly offered a goodwill gesture to cover parking costs and the inconvenience. However, the host never responded or explained the false advertising of “free parking,” which is clearly misleading. I stayed only one night but wasted hours dealing with parking instead of enjoying my holiday. Would I stay again? Absolutely NOT. Even if the apartment itself great , as long as it is managed by this host, it will remain one of the worst stays I’ve experienced. Unfortunately One star reflect...
Read moreI stayed here with 5 colleagues for the Formula 1. The room was OK. Not more, not less. Considering the price and location the price/quality was fair. The room wasn't dirty, but could have been cleaned better. The coffee machine still had several months old coffee in it. You receive 1 towel per person for the duration of the stay, If you need a clean towel, you had to pay extra. The bed was fine. Airco was working well.||The location of the hotel is just fine. Easily accessible. A nice square about 100 meters walking with restaurants and shops. Be aware that the restaurants close early there. For late diners, you need to take a taxi more central. It is just an easy walk to the Danub to start a walk and some nice sightseeing.||||Upon arrival we asked for help at the reception for a taxi to the F1 Circuit. They set us up with a taxi. The price was very high, but we had to trust the hotel reception so we agreed. We found out we had to pay the taxi in the hotel whch we found dodgy. The return taxi only cost us 20% of what we paid to get there. As we got wiser, I booked a taxi myself over the phone. We travelled to the F1 circuit and back to the hotel for 2 days, for less than the 1st trip arranged by the hotel. So needlessly to say we felt conned. We are tourists, so expect to pay a bit extra, but don't expect to get ripped off by the hotel reception. We went into a discussion with them. As we agreed we had no point. At check out they came up with a stupid store the taxi company gave us a discount. We still paid 3,5 times the normal fee.||||If you want a cheap hotel, by all means book it.The price/quality is in balance. Don't ask the reception to arrange anything for you, they will con you.to fill their...
Read moreWe are family with 4 adults and 1 toddler, booked 2 BR apt. Overall I’m satisfied staying here considering the location that basically next to Corvin Plaza, super convenient for family with toddler. The staff was helpful. We came quite late at 23:00 and the first thing that the receptionist did was offering me the apt key because she saw my son is super sleepy and my husband was still outside dealing with taxi and our luggage. She said: your can go to your room first now if you want, here is the key. So I went first and my husband took care the administration on his own in peace and quiet 👍🏼.
The apartment is big but the room that we got is both with twin bed. They prepared the 5th bed on the living room, which is fine by me. My biggest complaint is that its not soundproof, we can hear all the sound from outside and last day on wednesday I had to wake up at 06:30 am because there some loading/cleaning truck fixing stuff outside. The apartment seem a bit dirty but the bed is good. Another unconvenient thing was that the bathroom has no key. But again, with the price and location, as long as you are not hygine freak and light sleeper, this place is...
