Taste Italy and feel like being in Italy without having to travel there !!!
To me De' Finci offers the highest quality of signature Italian dishes - from Roman-style pizza by the slice, panini & tramezzini, pasta & lasagna, to delicious cornetto (croissant), biscotti, to topping off with the classics like Sicilian cannolo or tiramisu'. Mamma mia che buono :) !
They also serve excellent coffee - it is both aromatic and has a well-balanced strength & flavor. And if you happen to like Italian beers, they have a selection of those in stock.
And on the top of that, their staff is among the friendliest I have come across in Budapest. They speak both Hungarian & English (and some also Italian). You could literally not ask for any nicer people or better treatment !
No matter if you are a local, Hungarian, an expat Italian or a foreigner from another country - you will feel welcomed from the first time you set your foot in that store ! And once you do, you will keep coming back !
De' Finci is a real culinary gem in the XI. district ! A...
Read more📍Place: located at Móricz Zsigmond körtér so easily accessible via public transport and a little harder by car, but I was lucky and found a parking place. It has a couple of seats inside and outside on the street, so the aim is clearly to sell for takeaway. 🍛 Food: I have read about them in some promotion article and Italian street food sounded great. I decided to try their pizza, I didn't have much choice as I was arriving 30 min before closing, so I went with the ham & mozzarella. It's a Roman style square pizza cut by scissors, the dough is a little too oily for me and the ham was quite thick, but they were generous with toppings. I paid 1100 HUF but they have different tiers depending on the pizza. 👩🏻🍳 Service: there were 2 ladies sitting outside at the table so when I arrived one of them just ran inside to serve me. She did it quickly, reheated the slice and also brought to my table. Then they started to pack for closing around me (20 minutes before closing) which made me a little uncomfortable, but they were nice though so no...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of visiting De' Finci – Italian Street Food & Coffee last night, and it turned out to be a delightful experience from start to finish.
We each tried a slice of the Four Cheese pizza, and the Goat Cheese pizza—both were incredibly flavorful. The crust was exceptional: perfectly crisp on the outside with a satisfying chew inside. The cheese blends on both pizzas were rich, balanced, and full of character. The Four Cheese slice was indulgently creamy, while the Goat Cheese slice had just the right tang to complement the savory toppings.
A special highlight of the evening was meeting the owner, Matt. He was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, taking the time to chat with us and making us feel right at home. To our pleasant surprise, he treated us to two complimentary cannolis, which were delicious and showcased the same care and quality as the pizzas.
If you're looking for authentic Italian street food with top-tier ingredients and warm hospitality, De' Finci is definitely worth a visit. We’ll certainly...
