Grandma's Diner? More like Grandma's Alzheimer. The moment we've met the waitress, she forgot that we were there. Our eyes met many times, but she never decided to give us the food we ordered. When we were waiting for the food for over half an hour, I've decided to come to the counter and ask about the food, and she told me to pay, cause she did not understand what I was saying, so I did. Another ten minites passed, so I asked again with a translator in my hand, and she was very suprised the know that we did not get anything. We were starving and exhausted from the heathen heat from the sky. When we got the food, it was not what we have ordered, but we decided to be merciful on the restaurant and just eat. This is just the Hungarian food that you're looking for! . Looks from the outside is just a very homey small kitchen, with lots of locals coming just to have a comfy lunch. Nothing fancy . The lady greeted us well and surprisingly spoke English, while the menus are all in Hungarian . So we decided to try 3 main dishes . The duck is nice. Tender meat. And quality meat . Comfortable home cooked Hungarian, exactly what I was looking for. The ladies were welcoming and helpful as I selected my lunch items. I had the paprika chicken and also asked for the potato dish as a side. I started with the goulash soup, which was flavorful but not as rich in spices as others I've had recently.
