📍Place: it is located not to far from Király street / Oktogon, a very small place around 10 seats inside. It was quite cold because they have left the door open most probably because of the burger smell, but I would suggest you go do takeaway. The decoration is Five Guys style, but low budget, also the design elements looks very outdated and unprofessional, in the age of AI better branding could be done effortlessly. 🍛 Food: reviews and pictures were also promising but we've got a little disappointed even though they have the potential. I had the double cheeseburger: cheese, sauce and meat are decent, but the weakest point which ruins everything is the bun. The driest low-shelf bun, which crumble, has the texture of sand. It was also a little too big for the size of the meat and made the whole burger dry, because they couldn't add enough sauce. I would suggest to either steam & roast the bun (it could make wonders with the cheapest ones too), it just buy better quality (eg. Schulstad). I liked the crinkle cut fries, I prefer this super crispy style, but for my friend it was too dry as well. The price and portion was good though, I got full with the menu which was only 3490 HUF including a drink as well. (Pepsi family) 👩🏼💼 Service: the girl at the counter seemed a little unexperienced and got surprised on every question, but was helpful. Order was ready in 10 minutes,...
Read moreMove aside Smashy Burger, Hacky's here to stay. Was told it just opened about 6 weeks ago, though I chanced upon it on Google Maps recently, as well as walking past it one night. Decided to try it today, and boy was it worth the trip! The owner who runs the place gave me a nice breakdown of what's on the menu. I decided to go legendary with some customization of the burger. The owner was very accommodating and passionate about the food they serve. Family-owned and family-managed/operated. Burger reminds me of Shake Shack in New York, fries were good too, not too salty, and the Vanilla Milkshake was just right, and not too thick. Thank you and all the best in your startup! 😊
Don't be surprised if this place serves up a queue in the coming Spring/Summer! And I love the paper tray lining in French!...
Read moreWe came here based on the positive Google reviews, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. We tried the smash burger — the flavor of the meat was decent, but there were serious issues with how it was cooked. Despite being a smash burger, the inside was only medium done, when it should’ve been fully cooked. The edges were also overly burnt, which affected the overall taste. We were expecting more based on the reviews, but our experience was disappointing. Hopefully, more attention is paid to preparation...
