Beer Point Budapest — Restaurant in Budapest

What in the holy tourist rip off was this? We were 6 people and just wanted a quick bite but unfortunately didn't read the reviews, just looked at the pictures and were lured in by the name (we like beer). But this place is the worst. The food - if you can call it that - is an expensive joke. We had langos, a smash burger and bruschetta. It took ages and what we've got was plain garbage. Small cold langos, the bruschetta was a baguette with a little bit tomato and 90% garlic and the burger was something you buy in a cheap Supermarket and heat it in the microwave. I don't think the owner knows what a smash burger is. We also got one beer wrong and the service charge is sketchy because there is literally no service. Avoid at all costs, since pretty much every picture in here is either old or fake...or the owner has changed 🤷🏽 Oh, and they advertise vegan food but only the tomato garlic...

At least the service was nice, and the place was clean.

Our beers were a bit underpoured (see pic). I'm sure the bartender would've fixed it if we pointed it out, but we weren't too fussed - it should have a bit more attention paid to it, though.

Food was awful. Burger meat was generally just not good. Come to think of it, it also wasn't a "smashed burger" as advertised either. Pastrami sandwich is waaaay overpriced (see the pic - it was 4.000 HUF), and also the bread seemed like it needed to be toasted or baked more. The "American pancakes" are made from frozen, flavorless, and come covered in powdered sugar (probably to hide their lack of flavor). I'd suggest removing them from the menu altogether, if you can't do them right.

Waited 35 minutes for one of our friends food, only to be told that they did not have it when we asked where her food was. They had no intention of telling us they were out of stock. When we asked for a refund for her food and the bar man hid from us to avoid giving a refund. Manager refused to get off the phone to refund or help us. Staff are so unhelpful and ignorant. They charge a 15% service fee even though you have to go to the bar to order and have to go collect your food yourself from the kitchen. Not sure what service they are charging for? Food is greasy and unseasoned, and not cheap considering it's such terrible quality. No cutlery, food is served on paper plates and no glasses for drinks from the bar. Avoid...
