ParaNoir Pub — Restaurant in Budapest

It's a metal bar in Budapest and for that it is already worth visiting if you like metal. Closes early so it probably is best for early beers before heading to concert or somewhere. The atmosphere is good, there are many tourists but also locals here. The service can be a bit of hit and miss, some servers make you feel foreigners aren't welcome, and there is a group of bartenders' friends hanging out at the bar staring at you all every now and then. What a dive-bar gem! My wife and I swung by here earlier in the evening so we were the only people here except the bartender and another gentleman who were super-fun to talk with. The helped me with my Hungarian (I was just starting to learn) and told us a little about the bar and the area. There is plenty of cool horror memorabilia around to look at and, my favorite, they were playing great music with the corresponding videos on the TV to watch. Amazing atmosphere and very nice environment. The entire palace is very creatively designed, the re-call of the movies is very impressive. People are surprisingly friendly, and the staff is also nice and professional. The toilets are clean and also the entire place. Prices are below average and they have common bar-food, so worth every penny, give it a try, you won’t regret. It’s a really great place for a small talk with your friends as well.
