The worse experience ever, no service at all, most important, probably they thought we were just stupid foreigners, or trourists(in fact we have been living in this country for many many years already), so first of all, they tried to not give me back the change when I paid with a big bill in cash, only after I asked twice, they gave me back the change. That make we start to look back about the quantity of the food, 1500huf dish only contain a thin slice of a tiny meat loaf, nothing else, even a much cheaper meat loaf sandwich from gas station is a lot bigger than that. Plus, 1500 huf a dish you only get a small piece of vienna sausage, it's not a lot of money, but the quantity obviously not worth it, and we don't think those are normal quantities for every customers, the only explanation is that they would like to scam us as they thought we are just stupid foreighers. We have been to many different types of restaurants in Budapest and worldwide, we don't mind to pay higher price for good quality of food and services. But we hate dishonest people who scam customers only because they think they can, these kind people has no basic moral bottom line and...

Last week, I went there with my 9 years old son to eat a gulyas leves. The service was relatively quick but what came afterwards...😞 This is complete shame. The gulyás sup was pale grey coloured, taste like an overcooked potato soup. I took, salt and pepper to make it better since my son was quite hungry. We ordered and extra bucket of bread since, there were one given free.. Once it came, there were 3 medum dried, thin slices of bread. My son eat all the bread and left the "gulyás" 2/3. And then getting worser...😞 I would have left silently, not to come back again but things got worser 😊 At payment, it turned out, that they charged 450 forints for the extra bread. I started to complain (maybe late, should have left the place when I tasted the soup). She, the short lady with the grasses told: " Legközelebb jobb lesz" Bad food, rude attitude. Dislike guest Only interest for money Not pride on their work. Not taking responisilbility

Otherwords it is not Catheing business! Do not...

We went there attracted by the good ratings, but for us it was not more than correct. We tried the beef, some sausages and roasted beef. Sausages were small and cheese was not tasty but the beef was fine. Beer was also fine, ans so it was the Apfelstrudel. Service was not as correct as we expected: The waitress was alone for the whole place, so it is to understand, but I think it was more important that most of the customers were germans. About the room, it is a nice place decorated as a Black forest log cabin, but the tables in the middle of the room didn't have a lamp over them and therefore were darker as they should. Maybe if we return to Budapest we give this place...

Second time coming to this place. Different waitress as last time and both very polite. Quick service and quick to bring the food. Nice German pub atmosphere. Nice sausages, cheese, potato salads as side dishes, and beer. You can mix as you want. Previous time had white sausages which were great too. Price is not expensive at all which is great considering it's in Buda side near the river avenue. Great place for having some food and beer with whoever.
