Franziska - Buda — Restaurant in Budapest

Well, that was a DISAPPOINTING experience. I would absolutely not recommend anyone to waste a morning at this place.

The personnel are totally incompetent, uninterested and unprofessional. I’ve waited about 20 minutes waiting for someone to take my order, when I decided to go inside and kindly tell them what I would have liked to eat. It was obvious they totally forgot about their guests sitting outside.

When guests who arrived about 25 minutes after me got their meals served whilst no one seemed to be bothered with my order, I went inside and told them I’d pay for cappuccino and leave. I had a meeting to catch as well, so I literally had to leave.

Whilst trying to pay at the cashier, I was told the food was being prepared. By that point, I had been at the venue for 50 minutes, which would be a long waiting time at a Michelin star restaurant, let alone at a cafe-brunch place when all you wanted was poached eggs and with yogurt.

They told me the food was ready for take-away, so I thought ok. I hate food wasted; so I’ve taken it. The coffee and food were ok, but just that, ok. Plenty of cafes or restaurants offer way better food in the neighbourhood at reasonable cost.

The amount I was charged for this ordeal was absolutely DISGUSTING. I used to visit this place often and wanted to pick the habit again, but WILL DEFINITELY NOT come back again. Who would want to start their way this way ? And then even pay a fortune for it. Dreadful.

I’ve been to this place twice. The food is delicious! Such awesome combinations of flavors. I will definitely come to this place more.

Update Feb 5, 2023.

I have to change my star rating. I was there this morning having an important meeting. After 45 minutes, one of the employees came up to us and asked if everything is okay with the food and why we weren’t eating, she told us “Just so you know, customers have 1.5 hours to eat at this place”.

Our meeting ended shortly after. I finished my food and left. The whole process took exactly 1 hour.

In my whole life, in any of the 40+ countries I have visited, no one has ever told me to eat faster and leave - because that’s what she really meant.

Quite disappointed. This place has good food and looks nice inside. But this is an example of the bad customer service.

As a result, they have lost their long-time customer. I won’t be back here again.

P.S. We were sitting at the big shared table. There were other people who came before us and remained after we left. They also were sitting there and chatting. That employee didn’t say a word to them but decided to come and confront us instead. What a...

My favorite breakfast place disappointed!

I always recommended this place to my friends and tourist clients as a good breakfast cafe. With tasty food and nice terrace. ❗️When we came today for breakfast, there were no available outdoor tables and we decided to order inside and wait until one table will be free. When we wanted to move outdoor, a manager said “we have a policy, our guest can’t move outside if they already ordered inside, because we have confusion” The outdoor table stayed amply but we had to stay inside and feel like in a school because it’s forbidden to go outside.

❓Why do clients of your cafe can’t enjoy good weather outdoor especially if the table is available? Isn’t it a work of your service, to help clients feel comfortable?
