Naso restaurant — Restaurant in Budapest

My visit wasn’t that recent, but it’s lived rent-free in my head ever since, so I had to write this. The place itself is alright — the food was actually spot-on for my taste. We had takoyaki and spring rolls for starters, and both were yummy.

However, while eating the rolls, something felt off. The menu says “4 rolls,” so I thought the price was reasonable, but it turned out to be just 2 rolls cut in half. I don’t mind if they do that for plating or presentation, but it honestly felt like they thought customers wouldn’t notice — which left a sour taste for the rest of the meal.

For the main course, we shared the “sushi premium set for two.” The rolls were fine overall, but the end pieces were included, and some weren’t filled properly, leaving us with uneven bites and missing ingredients.

On a positive note, the wasabi and ginger portions were generous — enough for a couple of rounds — and asking for more wasn’t charged, which was nice.

So yeah, if I’m ordering a dish from the menu, I expect full value...

Quickly become our favorite place in Budapest! The sushi here is absolutely incredible—the freshness is unmatched, the rice is perfectly prepared, and the ginger has just the right balance, not too overpowering. The wasabi tastes freshly mixed, adding an amazing touch.

The Maki's algae cover has such a rich, flavorful taste—it’s more than just a wrap! We also tried the salmon bowl—the grilled salmon with teriyaki sauce was heavenly!

We prayed for a place like this to open in the area, and Naso has exceeded our expectations! Even the Tom Kha and Tom Yum soups have that authentic, traditional flavor you’d expect in Thailand.

If I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would....

This s a new Asian restaurant that mostly serves Japanese ( Sushi), went there to try it, unfortunately had a bad experience, I ordered for veggie gyoza and chicken Tom Yum and specifically requested to be less spicy, the gyoza was way too fried, one of the pieces was even burnt. The Tom Yum was extremely spicy, that I had to return it, the staff came back with another bowel, though unfortunately, they added too much sweet in it, that I couldn’t enjoy it, not to mention that it had 2 pieces of chicken and filled with onion. I paid, and informed the staff about my bad experience, to be attention when serving the food. Hoping...
