To fellow English speaking tourists:

3 stars primarily because the pastries and breakfast sandwiches were wonderful and tasty.

Not giving a 5 star for the extremely rude customer service. Our party of 6 went there 2 days in a row because their baked goods and prices were worth it.

But wow it’s like they couldn’t manage 1 person paying for 6 people. They literally busted out a calculator lol. Why are you so cranky? And one of the associates quietly asked our group “anything else on the grill?” And then immediately turned and walked away without anyone having a chance to answer. The associates were short, snappy, rude, and zero friendliness. Our group didn’t try to be demanding and we knew what we wanted.

Maybe they cater to locals and despise tourists.

Like OK you guys seem to be doing fine I guess we won’t give you anymore business lol.

I recommend braving it once. Maybe you’ll have a better time if your party is 2 people or less.

In summary: Pastries and baked goods were wonderful. Customer...

Upon arriving to Iceland this is the first place we ate. Our cashier wasn’t the friendliest, but I chalked it up to me being tired or maybe she was having a bad day.

On our way to the airport to leave we stopped back in for a quick bite and a coffee. Lo and behold we have the same cashier (woman with long dark hair, glasses and a snake tattoo on her forearm) and it immediately became clear that it wasn’t my jet lag- she has a REAL attitude problem. She was in fact the rudest person I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with for quite some time, and definitely the rudest person I came across in Iceland.

Unless you want your morning coffee with a hefty slice of unprovoked attitude, I’d strongly suggest going literally anywhere else. Nothing in that shop is good enough to overcome having to...

Fresh pastries and coffee, minutes from the airport and car rental places. We stopped here both upon arrival and departure from Iceland. When we landed, this was a quick and easy stop after we picked up the rental car. It was staffed by two young ladies who were happy to help us understand what was in the pastry displays. Similar experience on the other end of our vacation; we just wanted a quick snack before our flight and the pastries still tasted fresh and delicious. It looked like they had several options for heartier sandwiches as well. Super convenient, easy to find,...

Tried a couple other bakeries, even in Reykjavik, and this one is still #1 in my book. Friendly staff, clean place, and great selection! I wanted to try Icelandic products and they didn't disappoint! Icelandic donut (Kleinur) with and without chocolate, Cinnabons (Sunudr) covered with chocolate, "Love Ball" (Astarpungar), and more. Kids, and parents alike, loved it all!

Stopped here for breakfast after arriving in Keflavík and picking up our rental car. We arrived right as they opened. They had a delicious collection of pastries and breads available. The cafe latte I ordered was the best I had all 2 weeks in Iceland. The staff were welcoming and helpful and everything we ate was excellent.
