Very disappointing stay - poor room conditions and false advertisement from Expedia listing. I booked a single room for August 2024. Upon arrival, there was nobody at the reception - you have to go to the adjoining restaurant to ask for help because the staff are mainly in the kitchen. Not a huge issue, just frustrating if you ever need any help. Got checked in to a basement suite, and was appalled at the conditions. Firstly, the bathroom door could not close at all - see video. There was mold along the edge of the shower glass. The toilet seat didn't even align with the bowl! The room was WAY smaller than advertised on Expedia (likely in reality 71 square feet while Expedia boasts 161 sq ft), and the "marina view" advertised could not be seen from the tiny window (instead, you see the parking lot). The "heating" advertised in the Expedia listing means a portable heater you have to turn on yourself and hope it warms your room enough. The "soundproofing" advertised in the listing did not apply to the floor scrapes and footsteps you hear from the floor above you at 4 am (probably the restaurant preparations starting). There was no way of requesting a room change as the entire hotel was all booked up. Another pain point is that the Expedia photos of the hotel—both interior and exterior—are NOT reflective of reality. The photos seemed to have been enhanced to provide false expectations. Even the paint color of the exterior is not the same! Upon arrival, we were stunned to see the building's front entrance as it was so different from the advertised photo (we thought we came to the wrong place). I contacted to Expedia to follow up, but the hotel refused to issue a refund. Currently urging Expedia to investigate the property, as it does not meet the high ratings it boasts. The only pro from the stay is that they permitted an extra guest for the single room at no additional cost. That and it was close to our car rental location.

Hotel? More like NOtel... My girlfriend and i stayed here for the last night of our iceland vacation and boy did they ruin that last night. The room we were given has nothing to do with the pictures on their booking.com page. Maybe let your guests know before arrival that their room doesn't have an actual bathroom but just a tiny sink right across the bed. At least the toilet was in a separate room, but the door handle was so loose, I was too scared to lock myself in when closing the door, so left it open. Speaking of doors and handles: window handles almost broke, too. There was also a door to a parking lot straight from our room which sounds convenient but turns ibto a safety risk once you realise there's barely anything to lock that door. Also, the room door cannot be blocked so it's basically an open buffet for any robbers. Aside from that there's of course the usual stuff that seem to be absolute must-haves for any bad hotel: dirty toilet, urine stains on the toilet trash bin, dirt in the hotel room, mold on the shower tiles and the list goes on and on. If you're that bad at being a hotel, at least be open about it and put some fotos of your actual rooms on your homepage. The only positive thing I could find was the friendly front office agent. All in all: Don't stay here.

First, let me point out an obvious deception. When we booked the room, it said the "airport shuttle" was provided (see image attached). When you get there, you are told it is not included. That is lying to customers and, at the very least, incompetence in the failure to update your Hotels.com service description. That is reason enough to avoid this hotel. As a consequence of which, I had to pay €30 for a taxi. But it doesn't end there. The small room was shoddy and unclean; the beds uncomfortable. We refused to use the glasses because they were visibly filthy. The cushions were dirty, too. It was by far the worst hotel we stayed in during our Icelandic trip. The seats outside in the balcony were dirty. The view from the room is nice, though - but that's about it. I cannot possibly recommend this hotel and should I stay in Keflavik again, this will be the one place that I categorically avoid.

The Hotel was in a nice area - close to the sea front so we had some lovely walks in the evening. Close enough to the town but not much to see there!||The Hotel itself was very 'unusual'!! There was no receptionist - if I needed to contact them they offered a 'virtual receptionist' who wasn't able to help me. However, I was able to get through to them on the phone. It was a bit confusing in relation to gaining entry to our room! I booked through booking.com - I was emailed by them a code to get in through the main door but I wasn't told that the same code opened the room door! Which code didn't come into operation until 3.00pm so we had to wait outside for the room to be opened!||There were some steps just inside the door which was a bit awkward as we had heavy luggage. The room was clean and spacious. However, I didn't like the towels in the bathroom - they were grey and hard!!! We did get some lovely free toiletries which was a nice bonus!||There is a kettle with tea making facilities - but no milk! It was handy having a fridge but it took a while for the door to stayed closed!!||We had to keep the curtains closed all the time as there was a large street light outside which kept the room very bright!||The advertisement on booking.com was very misleading - 'private balcony' (it was shared with other rooms and divided by a partition, there was a table but no chairs so we couldn't make use of it!). We were also lead to believe that there is a free shuttle to the airport. It is also advertised in their booklet in the room. However, having contacted them they said they don't offer that anymore and just hadn't updated their information!!!||It was grand for one night - we didn't get breakfast. We left early on a Monday morning - the restaurant doesn't open on Mondays!||It was exactly 9 minutes taxi drive from the airport so...

My experience from staying one night alone at this hotel in two words are unhelpful staff. Upon arriving I was told that I got a room downstairs, with no lift! It was not clear when I booked that I had to take the stairs with all my luggage. I informed the receptionist that I would not be able to haul the luggage back upstairs in the morning. The receptionist said I couldn't change rooms, he didn't even offer me an upgrade which I would have happily paid for. The receptionist told me that his colleague would be on duty in the morning and would help me with my luggage. Fortunately my friend drove me and he helped me with everything downstairs. In the morning there was a woman in the reception and she didn't think she could help. I asked if the hotel was full, to which she replied that it wasn't full I just paid for the cheapest room and that was down stairs. In the end an old taxi driver who came to pick me up helped me with the luggage. Yes I will admit that I probably should have booked a room which was wheelchair accessible but alas I have stayed in a lot of hotels and never had any problems. What got me was the attitude of the receptionist's. This was not the cheapest hotel available! The room was basic, but weird layout, the sink for the bathroom was by the bed the shower was small in on the left in a cubicle and toilet on the right. The room was cold, there was a radiator standing on the floor but not plugged in. The fridge was not working but it was cold outside so I just hoped no person or animal would spot my food and drinks and help them selves. Last of all I don't recommend the breakfast, it's very basic, mostly sugar, milk and carbs, no wonder it's basic cause there were just two guests having breakfast, me...
