Polskur Matur — Restaurant in Reykjanesbær

I don't write many reviews. Only when a place is outstanding do I take the time to do this. Daughter Kat and I found this place on the way to the Keflavík airport. We had 45 minutes. Needed a place with a decent variety of menu selections - just to make sure Kat could find something she'll like (she prefers to eat very simple/light before flying).

What a PERFECT find! I had the Cowboy Schnitzel. Kat got the creamy spinach/chicken pasta. OMG. Amazing. Arrived at the airport with time to spare. Service...

Excellent 'Cowboy' Schnitzel. Comes with either chips or mash. The portions are large. I had a large but they do XL as well. There is a reason there is hype around this place. Its excellent.

The prices are very good as well for iceland. I strongly recommend.

We didn't eat out much in Iceland due to the costs but when we did we went to nice places...the Polskur Matur was easily the best for taste and value.

Probably the only place in Reykjanesbaer where you can eat Polish dinners. The restaurant is quite pleasant, the service is nice. The quality of the food does not knock you out, although it is good and the portions are large. Unfortunately, the prices are a bit of a deterrent, and the menu is rather fixed. There is a lack of new meals, even one different each day. The place is worth a visit, though definitely...
