A Flavorful Fusion Gem in Reykjavík! We had surprise visit recently at Indo–Italian Restaurant , during stay in Reykjavík, and its just across from the Hilton Nordica, this cozy spot blends the bold spices of Indian cuisine with the comforting charm of Italian classics—and somehow makes it all work beautifully. We started with the tandoori paneer tikka, which was perfectly charred and packed with flavour. For mains, I had the spicy lamb with dried chilies and garlic—an absolute knockout—while my partner went for a sour dough pizza that was crisp, cheesy, and generously topped. On another visit (yes, we went back!), I tried the butter chicken and it might just be the best I’ve had outside of India. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, the staff are incredibly kind, and the service—while a bit leisurely between courses—felt relaxed and unhurried in the best way. Bonus points for the buffet lunch option and the family-style vibe that makes it great for groups. If you're in Reykjavík and craving something unique, flavourful, and made with heart, don’t miss this place. Indo–Italian is a true hidden gem that deserves all the praise...

I came for lunch with a group of friends and I was surprised to see that little had changed inside the restaurant since Felino left. The place was almost identical as with Felino if not for the name of the restaurant. As for Felino, the restaurant is spacious, good deco but akwardly connected to a larger corridor leading to a nail salon and a flower shop. Not sure why there is no wall there.

The staff was very friendly and presented us with the buffet offer for lunch which I thought seemed okay but not too exciting. After quickly reviewing the menu which offers a very large selection of dishes, I eventually went for the lamb tandoori and some garlic naan. I was quite disappointed as it was all very average in my opinion. I thought the lamb was lacking flavors and quality, the rice was ok but nothing more, the naan was passable, the different sauces coming with the meat were good though. The dish was priced similarly as at my favorite indian restaurant in town but clearly was ranking much lower in terms of flavors...

🌟 I recently visited this Indo-Italian restaurant and had a great experience! The place was clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The food was a perfect mix of Indian and Italian flavors. I tried the butter chicken pizza and paneer tikka pasta – both were delicious! The spices were just right, and the food was fresh and hot.

The menu had many vegetarian, non-vegetarian ,vegan and many more option. I also enjoyed the garlic bread and the paneer butter masala and some dessert – a unique Indo-Italian twist!

Prices were reasonable, and the service was fast. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something different and tasty.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) A great place for Indian and Italian...

Indo-Italian in Reykjavik offers an intriguing fusion of Indian and Italian flavors. While the concept of pizzas and pastas with Indian spices is unique, the execution of the food can be quite underwhelming for those familiar with authentic Indian cuisine. It might, however, be a novel experience for international tourists exploring new tastes. What truly elevates the dining experience here is the exceptional service provided by the predominantly Indian staff and the pleasant ambiance. They genuinely make up for the culinary shortcomings, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming visit despite the food not quite hitting the mark for every palate.

We were in Reykjavik for business and decided to have dinner at this restaurant. We ordered Carbonara pasta and Margherita pizza. Everything was very delicious, and most importantly, prepared quickly. The pizza was amazing, and the pasta was even better. I would especially like to highlight the service—very polite and pleasant staff. We left the restaurant feeling full and in a great mood.

We were amazed after dining at Indo – Indian in Listhúsið in Laugardalur, Reykjavík. The place is truly surprising – such incredible food, beautifully presented, delicious, and generously portioned. Every little detail is given great attention here. The menu consists of both Indian and Italian dishes, all of which are excellent, making the restaurant family-friendly with something for everyone. During lunchtime (from 11 am to 2 pm), there’s a buffet, and later in the afternoon and into the evening, you can order from the menu. Everything at Indo – Italian is simply exemplary 🙂 Við stóðum á blístri eftir að hafa borðað á Indo – Indian í Listhúsinu í Laugardal í Reykjavík.
