It was a terrible experience while staying there. I don’t even want to give a single rating for this hotel, but as I am bound to give a rating, so I’m providing a star. I’m sharing our experience while staying in this hotel with my family
We booked two sea-facing business class rooms with the help of our travel agency, but we got one sea-facing room and from another room, we could see the side view of the sea. And most importantly, the second room was not business class from far away. When we told about this in the reception, they talked to our travel agency. (We later came to know from our travel agency that they were not professional enough and they were saying that no money has been provided for such booking, until the travel agency sent them all the bills as proof). The next day we went out to Araku Valley.
When we returned from Araku Valley, we were provided two sea-facing rooms on the 6th floor, but the condition of those rooms was pathetic. a. In the washroom, there were cockroaches. b. The door lock of the washroom was broken c. The bed sheets were not clear d. The combination of the tap and shower was malfunctioning e. The mirrors were very dirty
We told them to change the rooms, but from the reception, it was told that as the housekeepers and not available right now, so we have to stay there that night on the next day they will be able to change the room within 8:00 am – 8:30 am
The next day, we waited for them to change the room, but they didn’t change the room within 8:30 am. When we went to the reception and told them about this, they told us that they cannot change the room before 11:00 am – 11:30 am. In fact, the receptionists have attitude issues too. The receptionist (who has French-cut beard) told us, “humlog ayse hi chala rahe hain, pahele koi complain nhi kiya, app log hi ho jo ea complain kr rahe ho” with a huge attitude. So, definitely the receptionist has attitude problem.
When the room was changed, I found the issue that the basin was not clear properly.
The waiters were quite polite in nature and not to mention, the food was really tasty, but they must think of making some more verity for breakfast. 😊
So, I would definitely recommend the visitors/ tourists of Vizag not to book rooms in this hotel, if you don’t want to spoil the experience of staying...
Read moreRasa Vivana in Vizag is a true culinary haven, where rich flavors, generous portions, and a cozy ambiance come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. This charming restaurant offers a unique blend of traditional Andhra cuisine with a contemporary twist, making it a must-visit spot for both locals and tourists seeking authentic yet innovative flavors.
From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere welcomes you, setting the stage for a delightful meal. The spacious seating, paired with tasteful décor, gives the restaurant a homely feel, perfect for a relaxed yet refined dining experience. The attentive and friendly staff ensures that every guest is well taken care of, making the service impeccable and efficient.
One of the standout features of Rasa Vivana is the large portion sizes. Whether you’re ordering the classic Andhra biryani, the spicy mutton curry, or their signature dosas, each dish comes in generous portions that will leave you thoroughly satisfied. The biryani is a standout—fragrant, flavorful, and cooked to perfection with tender meat and aromatic spices. The Andhra-style mutton curry is rich, spicy, and the ideal companion to the perfectly fluffy rice. Even the vegetarian options, like the crispy vadas and rich paneer curries, are served in hearty portions, making it an excellent choice for family dining or sharing meals.
The menu is well-curated, offering a variety of appetizers, mains, and desserts, with something to please every palate. Their traditional sweets, like the deliciously creamy payasam, are the perfect way to end your meal on a sweet note.
While the food is nothing short of spectacular, a slight improvement in the parking area could make it even better, especially during busy hours.
Overall, Rasa Vivana delivers an exceptional dining experience, offering great food, large portions, and warm hospitality. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a relaxed feast, Rasa Vivana is the...
Read moreKaloreez had been totally transformed from our previous visit in Dec 2016, though it's the same property, it has been fully renovated, in the month of Feb 2022 (Got to know from the Staff) but place is the same, slightly different menu it seems. Great Ambience now, than earlier, Max inside seating capacity of 30 pax and outside six pax. They had great n relaxing Hollywood numbers being played in the background, which is well appreciated.
Parking is by the side of the road but not so easy for bigger vehicles. We went to have healthy food like previous experience but found a little less variety in the healthy food options.
Ordered One golden garlic soup, which was yummy and tasted garlic and consisted of babycorn, capsicum and other veggies.
Also tried a Protein treasure fried Brown rice, they had options for rice - plain / brown / quinoa for extra perks. One which we ordered contained broccoli, tofu, soya, American corn and other veggies and was tasty. We also tried jowar roti and Garlic chicken with almonds. It was delicious too and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
As we were the only family around, we got all the attention out there. One thing we were turned off was due to the switching off of the AC. Now on enquiring, the staff submitted regarding the AC having a leak, however, they turned it ON. They have 02 split ACs in the restaurant but if both are ON then only it would be conducive for the customers. Both were kept OFF and they were keen in switching on the available wall fan.
Not so pocket friendly, but considering the healthy options which I had ordered, was Value for Money.
One thing I found wanting is the interest in the staff in welcoming guests, explaining the menu, giving options once asked. May be looked into.
Cash and cards accepted. 1500h to 1730h it's closed. Rest Room available in the...
