We just had a pathetic experience today. They just don’t understand the basics of Serving food.
My sisters family went ahead of us (expecting the crowd) and they didn’t get their entire order even after waiting for a so long. Since we went few minutes after them, they asked the staff to give the tea that they billed to us. We’ve given our orders and reminded them to deliver everything together for all including the tea/coffee.
Since we are a regular customer, we know that they mess things up if we order different items. Hence we all ordered Masala Dosa & Vada for all and everything delivered together except one. All of us got the food and my brother in law was waiting for his Masala Dosa. We had to follow up for the tea a couple of times though. But we got it before we finished eating.
We waited for one Masala Dosa for a few more minutes after we’ve received ours & we did not have choice but to start eating while we were waiting for my BIL’s dosa. Since it is odd for all of us to eat while he was waiting, I was just reminding the waiter everytime he come near our table. No luck. Finally, I had to stand up and call the waiter to request to deliver the food and literally had to raise my voice after 3-4 follow ups to get someone’s attention. Still, they took another 10 more minutes to deliver food. But he lost interest to have his food “alone” while we all were done eating.
Just imagine how odd it is. We were telling them upfront to deliver everything “together” since my other sister’s family had a bad experience about 30 min back. Trust me, it was not a one off (rather two instances for us) case today. We noticed a disappointed gentleman next to our table and his issue was exactly same. Partial order delivered to him and he was waiting for the dosa for 20 min or so while he was done eating the vada he ordered.
They just don’t understand that we’re going to the places like A2B to have food together and have a relaxed morning. They killed the whole purpose...
Read moreOn the 27th Sep 2025, me, my husband along with our 4yr old girl went to have breakfast. This is our usual go to place at any time or day. I must the say, the service has always been pathetic, meaning at times i walk up to the counter to take stuffs myself and this is whether the place is full or empty.
On this particular day, as usual we entered and picked a table. order was taken (2plate dosa, 2plate idly, 1poori). After 30+ mins of waiting the waiter brings the dosa, one of which is 1/4th cracked even the pieces missing. I mean, how do they even think its ok to serve something like this ?
Then comes the idly, the red chutney spoilt. I notified the waiter. After another 10mins, the dosa returns, no white chutney, no green chutney but only the red spoilt chutney despite me telling them its spoilt. Now, these people expect me to feed my child their rotten food. I left the food at the counter this time annoyed saying how can they serve spoilt food.
The dosa never came back and my daughters poori never was served. I asked for bill, which never showed up as well saying there was some correction and its taking time. I threatened to leave and to share the bill to me over the phone. Finally some supervisor guy (im assuming) asked me to pay some amount to a numb on gpay. I did and left.
I made a decision, NO MORE A2B. These outlets behave the way they do and take advantage of frequent comers. They think its ok to do so. It is a crime to serve spoilt food to someone even if its your enemy, and i here am paying money!!! It is arrogant, unruly and most of all UNPROFESSIONAL. What should be done here, file a case in consumer court or just ignore them ?!! These useless outlets should not...
Read moreI visited A2B Adyar Ananda Bhavan on Sarjapur Road after hearing a lot of positive reviews on social media. Since it's located on the main road, accessibility is easy. However, my experience turned out to be quite the opposite of what I expected.
I ordered a Masala Dosa, but it was disappointing. The aloo stuffing seemed like it was taken from some generic aloo curry rather than a proper dosa filling. As a result, the dosa became soggy instead of being crisp and flavorful. The only saving grace was the chutney and sambar, which were decent.
Next, I tried Podi Idli, which is usually my favorite in Bengaluru. But here, they served small button idlis with podi sprinkled over them, and they seemed pre-cooked. Moreover, the podi was excessively poured, making it overpowering, and there was no ghee to balance the flavor. This was not the authentic Podi Idli experience I was expecting.
I also ordered tea, which turned out to be below average. For ₹38, it was nowhere near the quality one would expect. A simple roadside tea stall would serve much better tea for just ₹10.
Overall, the restaurant is highly overpriced for the quality of food they serve. It failed to meet expectations in terms of taste and authenticity. I wouldn’t recommend visiting this outlet. There are far better South Indian restaurants in Bengaluru that offer great taste at a...
